It arrived with the screws in a weird angle. I gave it a shot, but it stopped working after a few weeks. I uninstalled it and took it apart to see what was wrong. A metal piece fell out of the cylinder mechanism and into my hands before I had even started. The steel pieces inside were visibly irregular, jagged and cracked. The cable part was snapped and broken. $20 isn’t a big deal to waste, but it still sucks.

Lock lasted two months, then the thin metal locking hub inside the cylinder disintegrated rendering the key useless for locking or unlocking the door.

Nice low-cost replacement for the original part. The flexible shaft MAY be a half-inch too long, but that may be due to a fault of the installer (me). It seems to be the same shaft (lock cylinder mount is different) as the Honda Civic of the same era. I bought this for the flexible shaft only. The original key cylinder was re-used. VERY easy to transfer from old unit to new. This way the original key can be used. Note: the problem I was fixing was a failure of the original flexible shaft.

The price on this item was amazing. Called local auto store and they were charging 135 plus tax and shipping … Honda dealer was even more. Great save
