These struts are comparable to an OEM ride for the consumer looking for a comfortable feel on the road. It’s a night and day difference when compared to the cheap Chinese struts that were on my car when I bought it. Pair these struts with new mounts and bearings (hint: OEM mounts and strut bearings from a 2012 Ford Focus will work on a 2004 to 2013 Mazda3 to save you a ton of money) and you’ll have an excellent handling ride for years to come.

These strut cartridges are a direct replacement for the OEM parts that came in the car. I did the job myself and found the hardest part being the removal of the original strut from the car. I followed all safety protocol and had a local auto parts store machine shop remove the spring from the original stret and install it onto the replacement KYB. Follow up the strut replacement with a quality wheel alignment and you should be set for many more miles of comfortable driving.

I’ve had ‘em on for 3 months+ now and Definetly the ride quality increases. They’re A LOT Firmer than the original 2008 Mazda3, kind of rough at first but they get comfortable as you use them. That’s just how Gas shocks work, a lot more responsive, less head-tilting, less Body-roll of the car. The important thing is that they behave almost like a sport ride on the open Road and highway, No bouncing all the way through, adding a great new deal of control and Handling. Mine are the black ones, nice Patent-Black Gloss. Came with their own stickers, very good. No shock-Boots included. You can use the old ones, just be sure to give them a little cleaning-up before Re-using.

Replacement strut for my 2006 Mazda 3 2.3L Manual Transmition.
I replaced my struts back on 2012. They have been installed for almost 2 years.
Love them.
Resotred my factory ride as the previous struts were all starting to die.
Replaced the struts around 100K miles.
Only recommendation… Make sure you replace the rear mounts for the struts. I should have done it then and didnt. My strut mounts now broke and its a rather pain to have to take the strut out again to replace the mount. Hind sight. I would have replaced the mount at the same time. Other than that. The strut has performed very well. Have about 30K miles on them. Still working great!

Good fit and price for my 05 Mazda 3! If I had to do it again, I may have went with the whole unit with springs and all, but really wasn’t a difficult project. And the ride is much better!

Replaced both stock struts, one blown and leaking. Ride, noise and steering very solid again. These are great replacement struts and shocks, with a slightly stiffer ride, but solid handling feel with the stock springs to keep stock height. All the brackets in perfect position, high quality welds and everything installed right back to stock specs perfectly. Note- replaced the strut mounts (front) and upper mounts (for rear shocks), strut bellows/boots and a few sway bar bushings to get everything done and leave nothing to chance for noises and bumps and creaks, everything nice and tight and quiet. Amazon carried all these parts and for much less than our local auto parts shop prices. Amazon with PRIME will get plenty of my business with their great prices and good brand names and quality products.

Compared to my OEM struts these struts are similar, but my OEM struts gave a smoother ride. I don’t know if struts need a break in period, but I can tell the difference, although it’s negligible when I compare it to the cost of OEM struts. For the price they are definitely a great buy. I bought the sleeve and boot as well so they don’t bottom out and ruin my mounts. I am a full time student so whenever a car problem arises the budget is always tight so these were the best option at the time. If I had the funds to get OEM or better aftermarket struts I definitely would as I like the smoother ride.
In short, these are the best bang for the buck struts for a Mazda 3 out there in my opinion.
