Great ride after 1000 miles. I bought quick strut kits from AM Auto Parts as they were much cheaper. They turned out to be Leacree struts, which failed within two weeks of install (and 3rd set within a year). I had to send all four strut kits (front and rear) back as they couldn’t handle city driving and the gas seals failed. KYB is the supplier for Toyota, from what I understand and these struts ride like I expected. Prius rides like brand new (and quiet). I recommend replacing springs and strut mount if you are going to do this, as they are probably close to their lifespan as well.

Purchased these to replace my original 2007 Toyota Prius struts which after 90k of original miles decided to sent any and all shocks and vibrations directly from the road into my body.
After replacing these, I noticed that it felt as cushy and toyota like as the original ones when they were new. Perfect fit, easy install, and so far as good. Used them for 1000 miles before writing the review.
I’d suggust for you to change the following parts as well with these struts for a long lasting install:
48609-13010 x 2 (One for each strut)
48158-47010 x 2 (One for each strut)
48157-02070 x 2 (One for each strut)

This is a legit KYB Japan factory strut. It comes in black not silver. Perfect match for the other strut #333388. Installed on a 2005 Prius with 198,000 on the originals. I also replaced the strut mounts with a set from ebay for $30. Works great, firm, raised the front a bit. Quiet and much improved handeling, braking ect. I’m glad I didn’t go for a cheaper knock off. Get the KYB

I bought this front right strut and also the front left strut (KYB 333389 GR-2 Strut) from Amazon and had them installed on my 2007 Toyota Prius without any problems. I have been driving with both struts for over a week now and everything seems fine. No problems here.

i had to send one of the pair back because it came with a bent strut mount. This was damaged prior to being shipped to me by Amazon, as both units were put into a larger Amazon box which would have precluded it’s being damaged between Amazon’s shipping terminal and my address. They come with zero protective packaging and a relatively flimsy box. The manufacturer should know better and take better care to pack their strut better…..Update: the replacement arrived, and the top of the strut had also punched through the box. I revised my evaluation down based on the likelihood of receiving damaged product due to poor padding and packaging. All three struts had punched through their box, though only one was ruined.
