Okay so this new starter was around a half an inch longer than the original starter but it still went in there fine everything hooked up and it starts like a champ! I think it’s because this starter is waterproof and the one that came off was water resistant! I really hope this thing lasts at least 9 years like the original one did! Definitely a really good starter! If you have a Troy-Bilt XP mustang 42 inch mower and you need a starter this is the one I would definitely recommend!
