This is a good filter but it is a disposable filter. It is not rechargeable.

  2. Jose Martinez

    Perfect fit. Fast delivery.

I love this K&N filter, not only does it go on easily it also looks a lot nicer with it’s chromed housing. The built in wrench port in the bottom makes it so much nicer than having to use an actual oil filter wrench, great design by K&N!

i have bought this kind of filter a few times already and always have had good durability, the grip is fine and the removal of the old one is super easy with the wrench spot on the top. good buy

I love that the filter has a nut at the end where I can use a socket to remove it. My bike is completely silver and I bought this filter because it was silver also even though you can’t see it. Pretty easy to change oil using this filter.

  6. Cathy

Highly recommend, easy to install! Product matched picture perfectly. Great product for a good price.

Black or Chrome, it didn’t matter to me. On my bike it’s hidden under a fairing anyway. I bought this for the nut welded on the end of the filter. This is such a simple solution especially if you have a bike with fairings that are a pita to remove. Easy on and off using the nut and a socket extention.

If you’ve ever had to punch a screwdriver through an oil filter and tap it loose with a hammer (potentially endangering knuckles or fairings) this is the answer to your problems.

Seems to perform fine. I haven’t discovered any issues with the filter performance.

This is the only filter I’ll ever buy again.

So far so good. I Bought this for my 2018 Honda Rebel 500. K&N does not officially list a filter for this bike yet, but its basically the same motor as a CBR500. It looks nice and fits well. I am well aware of the concerns about the nut failing. The one thing I will say on that is that’s called a “Wrench OFF” nut. So if you are using it to tighten it down on installation well then your causing your own problems. I used a standard strap wrench it worked great. I combined this with some Royal Purple Max Cycle and I can’t believe how well my bike is running. I will keep an eye out on the nut just to be sure, but so far after about 200 miles, 100 of it being highway it has had no problems.
