Cost: the OEM disposable air filter costs about 35$ (without the installation fees). I would pay the extra 10$ and get this filter that lasts way much longer (you only need to clean it once every 50,000 miles as the warranty card stated).
Performance: I noticed the difference in performance; that is in better acceleration and faster engine response. I no longer need to turn off the A/C or press the gas pedal all the way down just to climb a hill.
Fuel economy: I noticed that the fuel consumption dropped from 10.4 l/100km to about 9.0-9.5 l/100km (depends on your driving style).
Package: the filter came with a warranty card and a “Reusable Filter” sticker that you might want to stick on the filter housing in order to tell anyone changing the oil for your vehicle not to replace the air filter (I don’t think I need it as I change the oil myself, but, it’s a nice addition). The filter also came with a K&N logo sticker.
Delivery: the filter arrived on time.
I recommend this filter and I would buy it again.

I have had a K&N filter in every car I own and have never had an issue with them filtering the air. I have also put over 190,000 on two of those filters, I sold the first car with 197K it ran fine. I did a leakdown check of the car for the next buyer guess what no problems. The current car with 191K now still is in perfect running order with no problems.
So I bought K&N filter number six for my wife’s Fit. As usual it fit exactly and I have not had any issues with it for the past 15K miles. All one needs to do is clean it once a year, while it is drying for that day I put the original air filter back in so the car can be used. Once filter is clean and dry re oil and re install. I don’t know about hp gains or mpg gains. What I do know is this filter saves me money in the long run, produces less waste in the long run, and has no ill effects on the mechanical life of the engine in the long run.

Everyone I know of that uses K&N air filters know they will fit, know they will filter out dirt, will let the engine breathe and will increase horsepower . I have them on my truck,my SUV,my motorcycles and if they made one I would have it on my lawn mower.
This filter was a gift for my brother’s new car,to get him started on the right foot.
They cost more but worth every penny.
Oh did I mention that it will be the last filter you will ever buy?

I needed a new engine air filter for my 2010 Honda Fit, but the dealer wanted to charge me something like $70-$80. Now I don’t really know much of anything about cars, but I do happen to know that the engine air filter is incredibly simple to replace in the Fit (and most Hondas).
The filter is located in a big black box thing near the middle of the engine compartment. There are four tabs that have to be flipped down in order to remove the shroud. Once you have the shroud off, just pull out the old filter and put in the new (making sure it is oriented correctly). This filter fit perfectly, no modifications were needed.
I replaced the cabin and engine air filters in less than 5 minutes (my first time ever doing this) and saved myself almost $100 in the process. Plus, since this is a lifetime filter, it will pay for itself the next time I would have had to replace it. All you have to do is clean and re-oil it, let it dry, and pop it back in.
I am keeping a normal disposable filter around so that I can put it in while I let the K&N filter dry after cleanings. I hear it can take several hours to dry and this way I never have to worry about being stuck at the house while I wait for the filter to dry.

The filter definitely stood up to the K&N ‘s claims , I immediately felt a better throttle response and acceleration. I just installed it a day ago 24 October 2023 and I can only give you a verdict on its filtration capabilites etc after a year or more. I can see that its a quality filter from the way its made. Don’t expect massive performance gains , I say between 2 to 4 hp gains depending on vehicle but any gain is good . It will also benefit you from not buying the normal stock paper filter on every service interval.

Lifetime filter, just clean/wash it and add K&N oil every 4-6 months. Saves money in the long run so definitely worth the cost. Fits perfectly with no issues on my 2010 Honda Fit Sport. A little pricey however.

This is my 5th car that I have replaced the OEM air filter with a K&N filter. For me it is simple, its costs about $25 for an oem filter that is lucky to last 10k before replacement. For a few bucks more, this filter will be on the life of the car. I have never had any problems with fouling the MAF sensor, I think that is more over oiling and not letting the filter dry. Also less air filters at the landfill works well for me too.
Also if for some reason my car ever has to go into the dealership, it’s one less thing to get nicked on,(seriously $85 for replacing an air filter?) It takes less than a minute to replace this filter on my 13 Honda Fit. This filter fits perfect. I know I am not going to gain any hp, but just knowing that I am going to save at least some money by not having to buy an OEM filter everything 10k miles is enough. BTW my OEM filter was dirty enough at 6100 miles that I feel confident in my decision. A very well made product! Thanks K&N and Amazon!
