I just got this item and really do not see too much of a performance improvement but I would not expect much from just a filter change using the stock intake gear. There does appear to be a slight noise increase at higher revs and maybe a very slight performance increase. Seat of the pants impressions on small changes are not the way to measure tiny performance increases. I do like the fact that it is reusable and still has excellent filtering ability. This should be the only air filter that I will ever need to buy for my new little Fiat. installation is a breeze. Just lift off the large plastic engine cover… it just presses on with no screws or bolts. Remove the top three 8mm bolts on top of the filter holder. Be careful not to drop the screws or you will never see them again. Pull the top of the plastic holder toward the front of the car and lift out the stock paper filter. Make sure you notice how the surround gasket is on the stock one and put in the K&N the same way. it goes in much easier than the stock filter comes out. Making sure the bottom of the plastic filter holder is in the slots on both sides push the top of the filter holder back toward the engine and reinstall the 3 screws tightening them evenly and snug. Reinstall the engine cover by pushing it down on the 4 hold down points. Done

This is the fourth K&N air filter that I have bought (for four different cars) and I am pleased to have received K&N’s promised results once again. Steady, increased torque throughout the power band and a slight `growl’ make the $38 worth every penny. If you look at the standard paper filter that comes with the car, you can see why the mighty little Multi-Air engine responds so well to the increase in air flow. If you want to add a brisk skip into your Fiat’s step without dispensing with the entire stock air intake system, then this part is where you want to start. K&N delivers every time. Ciao!

I’ve used K&N Filters for many years because they’re well made and they work. This filter fits the FIAT 500 – but be prepared. Getting to the airbox is a bit of a chore. The engine compartment is pretty tight. That makes putting in a long life, high quality, filter even more attractive. As for the performance aspects, well, the engine does feel a bit better pulling up mountain hills. It does make spirited driving a bit more spirited. The old paper filter wasn’t old so the difference in feeling isn’t going to be that great. I put in a K&N simply because I think they’re better filters. There’s things you shouldn’t be frugal about when it comes to cars. You want the best tires for your driving conditions, the best oils and filters for engine longevity, the best wax to protect your paint finish, even the best washer fluids to clear your windows. Put in the best air filter. A paper is fine – for a short period of time.

Fuel savings of about 0.5L/100km highway, and almost 1L city. Surprising to me, my car drove Toronto to Barrie without down shifting once going up the big hills. That has never happened before. Averaged 5.4L/100km cruising at 110km/h. Thanks K&N.

Fits like a charm! Neat sticker to remind everyone. Don’t have to wash for around 50K but I will done yearly check up if it needs a refresh! The standard filter that fits was $30 and hard to find! Best just pay $10 more bucks and get a lifetime performance filter!

This part is easy to install though it fits very snuggly. Keep in mind I also changed my PCV valve and spark plugs at the same time as this filter. The filter claims increase in power due to improved air flow.
After swapping the parts listed I did notice my idle is no longer rough, acceleration has greatly improved as I no longer have to cut the A/C off to get the same torque to the tires which is great. Comes with a warning sticker that states not to discard the washable filter in case you go to a shop that swaps filters as part of their service. Nice touch. Looks great until it’s installed then it can’t be seen, Oh-Well! I’m happy with it. I’ll definitely keep this brand in mind for any future vehicles I own…

Yes. It fits the 2012 Fiat 500 Pop. Simple installation just plug and play. Straight to the point be aware that this product will not increase horsepower for the Fiat 500, there is simply too many air restrictions and not enough power to make any noticable difference (101hp). However, installing this Filter will eliminate the need to purchase another air filter for the Fiat 500 as you will only need to purchase the K&N Air Filter cleaner.

It is slightly to long which causes is to bow and not sit properly inside the airbox. I think I read this somewhere else and noticed it with the filter I received as well. I am slightly worried there are gaps around the edge that extra grit and particles could get by but everything went back together fairly easy and I have no complaints thus far.
