Desde hace años llevo usando K&N en mis coches y me encanta, notas una mejor respuesta y a la larga se amortiza ya que lo limpias en lugar de cambiarlo. Para mí no hay mejor filtro de aire

I installed this in my 2006 Toyota Prius and couldn’t be any happier. I don’t notice a real gain in MPG, but the temperature has been fluctuating where I live, so it’s hard to tell exactly what i would get. The thing I did notice was the extra power this gave on the low RPM. Accelerating just feels smoother and bit livelier vs. the stock filter. Well worth the price since you won’t have to buy another air filter.

As always it works perfectly. I have always put a K&N air filter in my cars and it has worked perfectly. Here’s a list of my cars to give an idea of consistency: 2000 SL1 Saturn. 1987 Volvo 240, 1996 Volvo 850 Turbo, 1989 Buick Century, 2014 Toyota Prius, 1977 & 1979 Ford F-250 400m & 460 engines, 1957 Pontiac Chieftain v8. Every time the filter worked as it should. As for a noticeable HP or gas mileage increase I never dynoed any of my vehicles I just wanted the best reusable air filter. As for cleaning and re-oiling it just follow the directions. If you contaminate a sensor then just clean it and use less oil next time. Problem solved.

  4. Sameer

Proved to be EXTREMELY BAD for my Prius. Engine light and other warnings started coming up in what was a flawless Prius until I installed this air filter. Even K&N themselves say this can happen. Right now my Prius is with the dealership as I write this review. STAY AWAY FROM THIS.

  5. DNB

This replacement air filter works better than the original Toyota filter, I had to cut the frame to fit my Prius,
it now has a good fit and working fine.

Increase performance while reducing waste? This is the perfect replacement for the stock air filter. Replacement is a no-brainer and does not require any special tools. Simply unlatch the the air box cover, remove the old filter, attach the o-ring, and drop in the K&N replacement air filters. Easily worth the 5 minutes.

  7. Ice-D

Expensive up front, but worth it. Increase gas mpg. More horsepower. Engine runs quieter.

I use the K&N brand cabin air and engine oil filters in my last 4 cars. It’s hard to settle for anything less.

  8. Liam Midgley

I was skeptical about this filters ability to improve gas milage, but I’ve definitely seen a slight improvement on my Prius. Maybe 5%, but I haven’t calculated it since I’d have to try different filters when there’s comparable weather conditions (not easy to pull off in Massachusetts).
Otherwise seems to work well and quality is good. The seal it provides is excellent, which I speculate is the reason it improves mpg. Definitely worth the extra cost.

    pros:
    easy to install
    improved gas mileage

    cons:
can damage car if over oiled
fragile (compressed air can damage filter)

Item came pre oiled just dropped it in, I would suggest cleaning with k&n kit every 6-10 thousand miles depending on the dust/ pollution in your area. Do not have quick lube places service this filter. Take the time to clean the filter with a low pressure hose or in the sink then let it dry fully which may take up to 24 hours. Only once it is fully dry then oil it and let is sit and absorb for several hours before reinstalling it. If you need to drive your car simply buy a backup paper filter which your can swap while you wait. It is important not to rush the process. It will be better for your car and help the filter last. My other k&n has over 300,000 miles and still in great shape and working well.

I’m not adding HP. I’m not looking for gains. It’s a Prius. I have K&N in my classic car and my daily and I decided to put one in my girlfriends Prius for better fuel economy at 220k miles. So far so good after 5k miles. No whine sound unfortunately 😂
