We noticed after about 5 months of owning our Model 3 that the air started to stink. After looking into the issue I bought the coil cleaner and this filter. Without it nothing is stopped from getting into the AC coils inside the car. We have had it installed for almost a year with no issues. Definitely worth purchasing.

I’m rating this high because it’s a solid product and unfair to grade it low based on material and production. Fits perfectly and works as intended. BUT with that said, when using, you’re decreasing air flow into the cabin and essential parts that need cooling, including your display screen. Mine HEATS up quite a bit, to the point I thought I needed to take it in. I tried covering the back of the display screen from sunlight, but the face still hot really hot. When I removed the screen, things were warm, but not hot. So if you decide to use the filter, watch for decrease in in-cabin air flow and heating of your display screen. Hope that helps…

The 2 pieces are I’ll fitting and the filter blocks the airflow to the point that the AC stops functioning properly. Very disappointing for the price paid.

This filter comes with a high quality and easy to install support tray for the filter. The tray is high quality and fit perfectly.
I had ordered just the filter from a different brand and the filter kept falling inside the inlet. I would place it back in position and would find it again fallen inside. With this support tray, that shouldn’t happen anymore.
I just wish they would sell replacement filters in a 3 pack. I can’t believe how dirty the filter gets. Needs to be replaced often.

I have been using Tesla model 3 from past 6 months but me and my wife have been smelling something when we sit for first few minutes, we order this one and it is so easy to install and it stops the lot of smell and dirt coming in.

Both cars installed these on had issues with AC performance. It restricts airflow considerably where it even impacted dog mode in summer and a lot of alerts for issues when supercharging
No errors when not supercharging but decreased performance and airflow. This may damage ac long term. Would not use

Easy to install and a piece of mind as i had this on my 2018 without the large hole filter and it caught a lot of leaves. I just wonder with the fine air filter on top how much it affects air flow into the car or how much harder it has to work to get through it.

Excellent product. I will say tho after some time and going through a bunch of rain/snow I stared to get a gross musty smell inside the car. I later realized that this filter was completely drenched with water even days after the rain. This is not fault of the product but the smell lingered for a while until I eventually ran Kool-it through the condenser and changed the actual cabin air filters. I’m no longer using the filter up top but I do still have (and love) the plastic piece which works great for blocking debris from getting through.

The air intake filter is useful to extend the life of the cabin filters (it is already visibly loaded with dirt/pollen after less than 2 months). I would recommend this product but would also appreciate if the seller could offer a pack of 2 filters without the ABS grill as that one can be reused and adds unnecessary cost and weight to a repeat order.
