I just recently purchased a 2005 Dodge Magnum, the car only came with one key and it was very hard to get the buttons to work all the time!
So I did what we all do and turned to Amazon. They have a key that looks like my factory key, but I wanted something a little more cool looking.
I found this cool flip out key and the key was a Dodge profile.
I was not sure what to expect seeing as one key fob from the dealership was around $200 and the same from auto zone. I kinda figured for $35 the key might not be the best quality but I figured what the heck!
Boy was I wrong!
THIS KEY FOB IS QUALITY!
I was very impressed by how it felt in my hand, very solid and put together solid.
As I did only have one original key I had to take it to a locksmith to get it cut and programmed, but it waa a quick and easy process.
Even the locksmith that cut and programmed the key stopped and looked at it when he was done and said ” I have done a lot of keys in my day and I must say this is one of the most solid keys I have ever seen period. “
So without hesitation I will give this 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I highly recommend these flip keys. I give them more than 5 stars with no hesitation. The original ones kept stabbing me every time I kept them in my pockets.
DO NOT go to a locksmith to cut these keys. They will quote you at $150-350. I suggest you go to a local hardware store that just cut blank keys. I live in Los Angeles, CA. Best place to go is ACE Hardware. I believe this store is all over the US. They only charged me $3 to cut both keys.
The ONLY reason you would go to a locksmith or dealership is if you don’t have the TWO ORIGINAL Master keys that are already programmed to the car. Reason for this is you need those original master keys to program the new keys. You cannot use one master key to program. It will never work.
It does comes with instructions to program. It took me less than 30 seconds. So far I have no issues. Very responsive and shipping was fast. I have a 2006 Chrysler 300c SRT8.
An Amazon Man –
These work GREAT! They’re very well built and convenient. I noticed that some of the reviews complained about short battery life. This is absolutely not an issue. I’ve been using these remotes for two years and have not had to change any batteries. I suspect that these users were storing the remotes in a way that something was pressing against the buttons. My favorite aspect of these remotes is how compact they are with the key stored: far smaller than the OEM keys and they don’t get caught on things in my pocket.

Used for a 2014 Jeep Wrangler. The key is a bit bigger and bulkier than something like an Audi key. It is also a bit tapered, being a little fatter on the side with the key and then going a bit thinner. It feels like a higher build quality than others I’ve bought (typical Chrysler shaped fob that is.) The only thing I don’t really care for is it doesn’t flip close as smoothly as an Audi key. You can’t have any resistance on the key when you push the button or the button won’t press in. With an OEM Audi key, you can fold the key very easily by having pressure on the key while you’re pressing the button. This key doesn’t have as easy of a one handed close as I had hoped for. On the flip side, the key itself appears pretty strong at the root where it attaches to the case. I had tried a previous aftermarket keys for my Jeep off Amazon and over time the part that connects the metal key to the plastic fob began to break because it was not strong enough. I have not had a chance to test the distance the transmitter works from the vehicle yet.
It’s probably worth noting for those that don’t know, but this key includes the microchip built in to it. I haven’t cracked the case yet to see how easy it is to replace the battery. Programming was a snap following the Jeep manual. Insert first OEM key, insert second OEM key, insert 3rd OEM key and done (simplified instructions of course.) I found doing this process twice per key insured they were programmed correctly as the security light actually went off the second run through.

The challenge was getting the keys cut! I had to go to a locksmith who told me that I could not Program the keys even if I had two working keys which I do!! Well he was VERY WRONG! With two working keys and following the instructions precisely everything programmed perfectly! I was able to program both keys to start, unlock, lock my 2006 Dodge Charger RT!! So I don’t understand the negative reviews! If anything should change I Will reevaluate my review. But for now definitely 5 stars!!
OK.. Update One of my fobs stopped working after 3 days of use! It turned out to be a battery issue. I replaced the battery and the fob began working immediately and without having to be reprogrammed. I decided to take away a star because I should not have to buy a new battety only 3 days Of use!!

Edit: key dropped the fill and won’t reprogram. I’ve changed the battery out and it still won’t work. Garbage product, didn’t even last a month. The key blade still works fine in the ignition but the buttons are worthless as well as the product.
I want to review this purchased after reading some other poor rated customers. I purchased this for my 2017 JKU because I was tired of the key poking me in my leg, plus flip key looks cool. I had it cut at the dealership and they tried convincing me the key wouldn’t work because it was the wrong electronics size, I knew better— had them cut it for $20, used my OBD2 JScan to pull the code and put it on the new key and it works with no issues. Starts up no issue, I have an aftermarket car stater from Start-X which requires the lock button o be pressed 3 times to turn on and this key fob works with that car starter. Lock, Unlock and Panic all work as they should. It’s been one day since I’ve had it cut but there seems to be no issue. I’ll update in the future if anything changes but realistically it shouldn’t. I saw on a Wrangler forum someone using this key fob on their 2016 JKU and can now confirm it works now on 2017 JKU.
