I don’t currently have a car that needs to be jump started, so I can’t fully test this, but I do have an old 12V 17AH AGM battery on my bench to play with. Its resting voltage is 12.4 V. When I connect this jump starter to that battery, I see the voltage quickly increase. When it gets to 13.5 V, the green LED on the jump starter lights solid green and indicating it’s time to try starting the car.
So this is working.
I’m not sure this could start a car with a totally flat battery, but it should be perfect for staring my mower with an old battery that just needs a little boost when it’s been sitting too long.
