I got this to power my lipo charger with cables I already had. Works well and doesn’t get hot at all. It’s heavy feeling which gives me a confidence of quality and that it would reject heat well under a heavier load. For the RC guys out there just know that this isn’t the ideal way to power a charger as the input voltage from your vehicle accessory socket varies quite a bit. This may make your charger act little funny on the output side as I put voltage will vary from 11.8-14.3v causing the charger to adjust its output. In my case (isdt Chargers) theboutput amperage even though set to 1.4a would vary from .9a to 3a at times due to this. It’s not this adapters fault though it’s the nature of the electrical system in your vehicle. Just thought I’d mention. This product has been serving me well for a long time and hasn’t fallen apart like other cigarette lighter accessories I’ve had in the past

Looked like a great product, i had it hooked up to power port on my jump box to do some testing, it worked for about one min then nothing, no power . i tested it in two vehicles with a test light and no power.
Update: 8/9/18. So just before i was going to put in the return request, i figured i would check it one more time. It still didn’t work , but the ad claims voltage and short protection, but where? well i unscrewed the nose of it, and sure enough there was a blown glass fuse! It would have saved me a lot of time and aggravation had they said there was a fuse in it!!! So now I’m back to being happy with it. Im going to knock off a star, because the alligator clips are cheep, and the insulation slides right off them..

Use this to quickly install a CB radio in my car for a long drive. Very easy to use and makes it a valuable tool in testing 12v equipment like cb radios, etc.

Wow. A decent product, has some weight to it, worked great.

I use it for the remote wire on my AIO subwoofer. I hooked the remote wire to the positive terminal and then my AIO subwoofer only turns on when the car is either in AUX or tuned over. Love it!

I was a little mislead… The red and black caps do not come off completely…. I wanted to use ring terminals, so I modified the whole thing…. It only works with the supplied clips and pins. Which didn’t work for my application, good build quality overall.
