Jtron 50A and Jtron 100A battery switch.
There are various locations in my RV at which I needed a method to switch the 12 volt DC power off & on and these switches were perfect for the job. I purchased a 100 amp switch for my solar system and a 50 amp switch to be able to disconnect my camper from the tow vehicle (without crawling under the truck) to disconnect the 7 blade trailer connector.
Note that these battery disconnect switches have a ‘lock-out’ feature. In the ‘off’ position the switch handle can be removed preventing an unauthorized person from re-connecting the power (turning the switch on).

They are light duty plastic devices but are perfect for inside use.
I rated both the 50A and the 100A five stars because of reasonable price, fast shipping, and relatively small size.

I like that it is small and easy to install. I used it for a LiFePo4 battery box.
At first worked fine. Then after a couple of days it quit working. Would not connect battery. I messaged seller and after a brief discussion a new one was sent at no charge, no return required. Now new switch is installed and working. I will update report after a few weeks.

Worked well at first, then wouldn’t pass power after a week of use. Push down on the switch paddle and it will connect – forcing the contacts together, but it won’t normally pass power when switched on. 50amp rated and I was using for a 20 amp load.
RETURNING!

There was nothing wrong with the product itself, it was just too big for what my intent of use was.

Purchased this 6 Gauge wire as I needed one to add a master power switch to a RV and this was cheaper than a single wire from others. Cable appears to be decent quality marine grade cable (thin wire strands so cable is flexible, tinned copper strands to protect against corrosion). Since this is not sold as a marine grade cable I won’t ding them for not having adhesive shrink tubing to seal the crimp ends. Connectors appear to be well crimped and no measureable resistance in the cable, so seems good. Would buy again.

Overall, it is a nice and compact switch, which is why I purchased it over other types of switches. I’m sure it can handle the amperage internally in the switch, but the terminals themselves are pretty small making it hard to find the properly sized splice for the gauge of wire.
Additionally, the switch cover it self has too much play for my liking. It hasn’t broken yet, but it doesn’t inspire confidence.

I originally purchased this battery switch for my teardrop trailer as battery cut off. After looking at the size of the terminal posts, and seeing the poor quality, I have returned it for a refund. I sincerely doubt this will support 100a as advertised and not willing to risk the safety of my family on a cheap battery cut off.
Also, the switch mechanism is weak and flimsy, not a quality item.

I recently purchased the Jtron Battery Disconnect Switch, and I have to say, it’s been an absolute game-changer for my travel trailer. This battery switch has proven to be a reliable and essential component in my setup, and I couldn’t be happier with its performance.
First and foremost, this switch is incredibly sturdy. Its robust construction gives me confidence that it can handle the demands of regular use without any issues. I appreciate that it’s built to last, ensuring long-term reliability for my travel trailer’s power system.
The weatherproof design is another fantastic feature of this battery disconnect switch. I don’t have to worry about rain or other elements causing any damage, as the switch is well-protected against the elements. It gives me peace of mind knowing that it will continue to function flawlessly in various weather conditions.
The switch’s spring and detents when disengaging power are a real pleasure to use. The mechanism feels smooth and responsive, providing a reassuring “click” when turning off the power. It’s a small but essential detail that adds to the overall user experience.
I use this battery disconnect switch as a convenient way to control power to my travel trailer’s battery. It allows me to disconnect the power easily when the trailer is not in use, saving battery life and preventing any unwanted drain. It has become an essential part of my travel trailer setup, and I can’t imagine camping without it.
In conclusion, I highly recommend the Jtron Battery Disconnect Switch to anyone in need of a reliable and sturdy power disconnect solution for their travel trailer or other applications. The weatherproof design and excellent spring and detents make it a pleasure to use, and its overall performance has exceeded my expectations. Whether you’re a seasoned camper or just starting out, this battery switch is a fantastic addition to your setup. I am thrilled with its quality and convenience, and it has made a positive impact on my camping experience.
