Works great so much easier lifting my tonneau cover.

Works as it should as a replacement for existing truck bed cover. I gave this 5 stars for easy to install, they are not easy to install but that is due to the nature of the product as it takes a lot of compression pressure to get these to close and in some applications you may need to compress to get it to fit in location you need. I attached one side to bed cover then put the other end on bed of truck and closed cover then quickly lifted cover and attached to the other mounting point before it expanded.

I purchased these to go on my 6′ truck bed hard cover. These worked great. I have been so used to the prop stick that I made, that I have taken a little while to get accustomed to it staying open and not needing it.
The cylinder action is smooth. They don’t make much sound. I remember as the old ones began wearing out they would make a fluid and air compressing and moving sound as they were used. So far these are quiet.
They fit the ball joint mounts on my truck perfectly.
Be sure to measure your currently cylinders and get this one if it matches in length. This one is 26″ open, and 14″ closed.

These are exactly the same struts I took out of my 2006 motorhome. They’re really tough to compress in your hands so you might have to find a clever way get them on. Not too hard really and here’s to hoping these last 18 years like the last pair.

These replaced the originals. They have a pull of 75 lbs each! I’m 285 lbs so closing the cover wasn’t too bad.

Got a deal on a used heavy fiberglass cap for my truck and adapted these for lift assist. Worked great.

I use this type of shock for the sundeck/changing room on my pontoon boat. It helps lift the sundeck up and keeps it up so it can transform into the back wall for the changing room/restroom area. So, the product seems good, works right out of the box, and replaces the original exactly. The product is good, but the shipping was incredible. I was out in the water for the pony swim (Wednesday), and realized my shock had broken. I opened up my amazon mobile app and ordered this one around 8am. By noon on Tuesday (just slightly over 24 hours) the product was at my home, in my hand. You cant beat that with a stick. This product on my boat is a high failure item (due to the corrosive saltwater environment), so I replace it about twice a year. I will be ordering from this vendor again. Very pleased.
