These worked out great for me. They were used for a bed lift in an RV, were the existing ones just wasn’t holding the bed up any longer.
It was one of those projects I was dreading and procrastinating on, figuring it was, ‘one of those’ type projects, that was going to turn into one of those, ‘all day’ projects.
I had the older style with the little retaining clip, but wanted to upgrade to this newer 10mm ball style, (and I’m glad I did). I had lost one of those little retaining clips when removing the old ones.
I figured these might hold up the bed any longer, but if they measured the same, ‘maybe’ I could use the old lifts for one or more of my basement doors, (which just about all need replacing too).
And what a pleasant surprise, (for a change, lol!)… The brackets I bought for these had the exact hole alignment as the old brackets. No re-drilling holes, tapping wood screws, installing the new brackets, while I was working, ‘under the bed’, being held up with a short stick of 3/4″ PVC!
I had the project finished in about 1/2 hour, ‘YEA’!
