I picked this up for my Jeep Wrangler. I hadn’t ever done this particular piece before so I was a little hesitant to start pulling things apart. Fortunately, the instructions were very clear and easy to follow. I had the tool in my glove box as part of the little kit that comes with the Jeep. If you don’t have that, you can find one pretty easily at just about any auto parts store or possibly hardware stores.
Now, this thing is all flat black and very nice looking. It’s solid and heavier than I thought it would be as well. I have purple highlights on my Jeep so I primed and painted it to my liking and put the whole thing on in about 10 minutes, including removal of the stock piece. I will say that having the rubber piece separate was helpful because I could move it around to get it seated around the fuel delivery pipe.
The ONLY thing I wish this had was a locking mechanism. It doesn’t, but I knew that going in. It works exactly how it should and I wouldn’t change anything else.

This gas cap looks really, really cool. It fits in the hole perfectly as well as the gasket does. However does not stay secure. I liked how it looks so much, so I rigged mine in place.
It’s a cool gas cap, just know you will have to be clever and find a way to keep it in place.

This seemed like a very good product (stylish, well made, sturdy, etc.). Unfortunately, on my daughters 2021 Jeep Wrangler Willy Wheeler (and this may be year and model dependent) the process to install was far more extensive than we were prepared for, disturbing: gas line, seals, electrical sensors, etc. and there were not guarantees that it would fit/function properly once we did all of that. I’m not saying don’t buy the process but do your homework and be prepared, or use a professional, because this is not just a simple cosmetic change that a novice should make.

PDKLIN Gas Cap Door Cover Aluminum Alloy for Jeep Wrangler JL
This is a good quality fun flag upgrade of the OEM-style fuel filler door found on higher trim levels of Wrangler. Installation involves removing the taillight to get access to the back side of the fuel filler and involves some prying to free the clips. Looking at the replacement part will give an idea of where the work needs to be done. Overall it’s a fairly straightforward job, just use patience and attention to detail.
If you are handy and comfortable with taking things apart and putting back together, then recommended.

Cast aluminum as cap cover, easy install – remove one bolt, and push out the old filler cover, snap gasket in and click into place – retighten tail light bolt, 10 minute upgrade.
