I guess I’m a glutton for punishment. After returning another Amazon fuel pump because the plumbing wasn’t clocked right, I ordered this one. This one has so much pressure that the needle valve can’t seal in the carb. The result is an overflowing float bowl and fuel POURING out of the vent. In my case the vent is directly above the hot muffler so it’s a very dangerous problem.
I ordered a genuine Kawsaki part instead. It’s 4x the cost but it will be safe and work properly.

Comes with two gaskets and gaskets are correct, so that’s a plus. Does not come with the overflow hose, where the OEM comes with the gaskets, overflow hose, and a small hose clamp. John Deere wants about $100 for one of these. For the price here, I thought it would be worth a try even if I got just a couple years out of it. Pump installed today and started mowing. Less than 30 minutes of mowing, complete pump failure… zero fuel pumping. Total waste of time.

Installed on a JD 345 lawn tractor. Super easy to install and was a perfect fit. After installing a new clear gas filter I could physically see it fill up super fast with gas so I could tell the pump is working. Tractor started right up and is running well now. Time will tell so far as long term quality but as for now it is a great replacement at a fraction of John Deere pricing for their OEM part.

Bought this rather than blowing my wad on the John Deere OEM part. Works just fine. Direct replacement and fitment was great. Kawasaki fd440v liquid cooled

Great shipping time first time and replacement time. The only problem is with my application – FD590V – one of the gaskets is incorrect. You will need to make a gasket shaped exactly like the spacer. This gasket goes between the plastic spacer and the engine block. If you use the gasket that comes with the pump you will have an oil leak. Personally I do not find this a problem. This pump is considerably less $$ than the John Deere part so having to make a gasket or even spending $8 for one from JD is still not a problem. Overall I am quite pleased with the purchase. Side note, make sure to inspect the push lever in the pump flange for a loose dampener spring (this was the problem with the first pump I received)

I bought this pump in june. I didnt have a change to install right away, so install for winte tractor. worked great 10 days. i tookapart all conections. and trylied to prime. it will not pump. Im at a loose. Going to ask Amazon to replace it🤷â€â™‚ï¸ sucks.
