- This pump looks the same externally as fuel pumps from fuel injection engines, but the small end is threaded (fuel injection pumps are not threaded on the small end). This fuel pump is from carburated engines and will not interchange with fuel pumps for fuel injection engines
- This is the low pressure pump that is threaded on the small outlet end. The high pressure pump looks similar but is not threaded on the small outlet end. The high pressure pump is enclosed in the ‘cool fuel’ assembly and this will not fit work in that asembly. Low pressure pumps are not in any assembly
- Boat fuel pumps carry fuel from the gas tank directly to individual engine cylinders. To ensure great combustion and quick starts, this operation is performed under high pressure. Over time, your fuel pump may wear out and require replacement

My starboard fuel pump stopped working and I needed one rather quickly and reasonably priced. This fit the need. Easy to install and new O rings are included. So far it works great.

ONE STAR: Pump worked for only about 2 hours. Unfortunately that 2 hours was spread across a few weeks. Having replaced the pump into my boat and then diagnosing a fuel delivery problem a couple weeks later to find it being the new fuel pump was quite a drag. But, of course, it can no longer be returned/ replaced. UPDATE, TWO STARS : Or, so I thought. I have reached out to JMPSPEED regarding the “Warranty” mentioned. They say they are sending out a replacement. We’ll see how that goes. UPDATE, FOUR STARS : Received warranty replacement pump and all is well. Just can’t go full 5 stars given the initial failure.
