Frankly, I wouldn’t start out trusting it on a 40 amp load, but 15-20 should be safe. Wires are a bit short, but that OK if you are installing quick connects. Like the all plastic case, including holder, as there is nothing to rust or scratch. Of course it will be more prone to breaking if you don’t mount it flush. Again, for a 40 amp load, I’d trust to a name brand. For lighter duty I expect it to hold up satisfactorily. I really will report back if it exceeds or doesn’t exceed expectations. In the meantime, I will have one as an inexpensive back up, and put the other into service for a smaller light bar.
