They don’t grip wire as well as I would like but have stronger spring then I anticipated and have held up for few months of good use

QUALITY BETTER THAN EXPECTED

The 100A clamps themselves look like they could handle 100A… if the planets align and you upgrade half the components they come with.
Nerd Notes:
– To actually push 100A through them, you’ll need 6 AWG wire for anything longer than a glorified jumper cable (think 3–5 feet).
– The included lugs are… optimistic. They’re copper, which is great, but they look like they were made for a 14 AWG wire in a parallel universe, not a 100A setup. They bend if you stare at them too hard, and absolutely do not fit proper 6 AWG.
– Fix? Buy real lugs — 6 AWG marine grade with a 1/4” or 3/8” stud hole, or #6/#8 will work. The hole will fit a #6, but I suggest redrilling it to support a #8 at minimum. Get yourself a proper crimper while you’re at it unless you enjoy arcing sparks and sadness.
– The screws and nuts they include? Brass #6-1/4s that feel like they were salvaged from a dollar store drawer organizer. They technically work, but barely. I used them, but I’m ordering #8-1/2 stainless machine screws and drilling the clamps to match. Pro tip: throw the included fasteners into your “just-in-case-junk” bin and pretend they never existed.
– Speaking of things to throw away: the hardware bag is actually more useful than the hardware. It’s resealable. That’s a feature.
– Lead warning! The brass has lead (as brass does), and the spring has enough lead to qualify as a Fallout 4 loot item. But you’re not licking it, right? Use the plastic handles, wash your hands, and don’t rub your eyes like a Disney side character.
-The plastic handles? Discount-bin vibes. Indoors only, gentle use only. I wouldn’t trust them against acetone, sunlight, or aggressive thoughts. If they tear, grab a can of PlastiDip and give them a durability patch.
Verdict:
💸 ~$13 CAD for four 100A clamps = not bad at all
🤢 Included lugs/screws/plastic = 3/5 experience
🧠 With a little DIY and the right upgrades = 4/5 total

They work and are fairly strong

These are not super heavy duty jumper cable clamps or anything, but they are not little tiny clips either. I got these to connect to a 20a lifepo4 battery charger I have that only had ring terminals on the ends, and these were perfect for my application.

They were easy to install on my damaged booster cables

I have a rechargable car battery jump start battery and one of the clamps broke. I ordered the 100A clamps to fix the broken one. These clamps were smaller than I expected, but were minimally sufficient for this project. The clamps have rubber covers that can easily slide off and on, but can be a bad thing when working with electrical current. I ended up using black electrical tape to cover the tail end of the clamps so that the bare metal would not be poking out of the back of the rubber covers. Also, I question whether these clamps are made of copper because the metal looks more yellowish (like an old-school arcade token) rather than a penny – see the photo to compare for yourself.
In the end, these 100A clamps are good for small projects but next time I’ll order the 500A or 1000A clamps to get ones that are more substantial, have plastic handles or at least more better rubber handle covers.

We got these for an off-grid power project at the family hunt camp.
We took an old windmill motor and a 12v fan motor to make power for 12v LED lights. We required a 12v battery but did not want to have a dedicated one for a limited use place. We decided to use our ATV’s for this as the system would charge your battery after it started-up.
We made a cable to run to our ATV battery – we needed well marked clamps with insulated handles as we would be using them in extreme light/weather conditions.
These clamps fit the bill quite nicely. The size is right in the range that the jaws open to a decent range with out having be creative and forcing it onto a battery.
The removable plastic insulation is nice when attaching the wires. When done I used silicone to seal and permanently attach the protective covers.
The covers feel nice in your bare hand on a cold day – not like cold frozen metal.
To prevent tarnishing you can periodically clean then seal them with a spray sealant.
These are very affordable at $11 at time of writing. I am very happy with them.
