  • 👍【How Battery Switch work】 This Kill switch can avoid car battery to drain due to long-term parking, line aging and forgetting to turn off the light. It can maximize the storage of car battery power, effectively protecting and extending lifespan.
  • 👍【Smart battery disconnect Switch】When battery voltage is below 11.8V, the remote kill switch automatically cuts off power after 120s to save electricity ; when the voltage is higher than 13.2V When Driving, the remote control will fail.
  • 👍【Adjustable mounting options】This battery switch can be connected to the negative or positive terminal of the battery, please check the engine compartment for a suitable mounting position before installation and adjust the mounting position.
  • 👍【Remote Control & Low power consumption】Remote control range : 100m ; standby power consumption: 2mA ; Operating Temperature: -22℉~194℉ ; rated current: 120A ; rated voltage: 12V, power-off threshold: 11.8V±0.2V, instantaneous current: 500A.
  • 👍【Widely Application】This shut off switch Suit for most 12V car, boat, rv, trailer, trucks, ATV, UTV, motorcycle, vehicles with a rated battery current below 120A; Negative pole: 9-13 mm and 15-17mm.

This is by far the best way to go if ya need a Killswitch for your vehicle

I ordered three kill switches for the different vehicles. I first put this kill switch in a 2002 Dodge Durango.

First, this switch does not have an manual on/off on the device. You can only operate it from the remotes. Not a deal breaker, but it may be of concern in some applications so it is worth mentioning.

Second, unlike the other two kill switches, this one has a second wire that connects to the negative. I’m not sure why, but it should be mentioned.

Overall, this works great. In the Durango, I noticed that if you clicked it on and then off, there was a delay before it disconnected. I’m guessing that is due to the electronic bits.

After installing this one, we installed the other two on two older Toyota RVs. With the last RV, the battery was positioned in such a way that we could not get that switch to attach to the negative battery post. So we pulled this switch out of the Durango and tried it.

The cable lengths on this switch made all the difference. We were able to attach it to the battery, then bend the cable slightly to move the switch box over a bit so we had room to attach the negative battery cable to the switch post.

So while this switch isn’t as “pretty” as the other two, doesn’t have a manual on/off or status lights, it gets HIGH marks for being more maneuverable in a difficult battery configuration.

With the older, no electronics, vehicle, the switch cuts off immediately without delay.

We tested the remote while the engine was running and it was disabled, so that security definitely works.

The main purpose for this is to keep the battery from draining when the vehicle sits for long periods of time. I see this switch working well for that.

It comes with two remotes. The remotes make this very easy to use. It’s convenient not having to go under the hood to flip a kill switch.

Small profile, and super easy to install. Can switch either positive or negative terminal. Remote has good enough range to work across a parking lot. Will not turn off if it sees a inbound charge rate above 12.7.

This switch adds a battery protection system to your expensive battery. While designed for vehicles, I suppose it could find applications in solar/inverter systems.
I’ve installed several similar switches in the past, but few have the automatic shutoff feature which this one has. If you leave the switch on and the battery becomes depleted from leaving lights or some phantom drain happens, this switch will isolate the battery when it goes below 11.8V, a non-adjustable set point. Also, if the voltage is over 13, it ignores the remote inputs if someone tries to shut it off, preventing damage to the alternator or vehicle computer from overvoltage. These smarts are the main reason I got this switch, because I can’t always rely on my smarts to close the doors or shut off the lights or use the remote to kill the battery. Batteries are expensive, and running them too low shortens their life and could leave you stranded without enough battery to start your vehicle.
There is no indicator or manual switch on this unit, it can only be controlled by one of the two included remotes. If the remotes get lost or wet or lose their charge, there is no way to control this unit. It’s a fairly simple unit to bypass by touching the in/out battery terminals together, but a switch and indicator light would be useful. A 13/14mm wrench is included, but I still needed a small adjustable wrench for some bolts.
Wiring and mounting this unit allows options which similar kill switches don’t. This unit can be used to disconnect either the positive or negative terminal of a battery, so there are separate small + and – wires from the big battery cables. I chose to install it on the negative post, so tied the small black wire with the input battery cable. The battery cables are of a middle length which makes it hard to mount without making compromises in tidiness. I’m sure there are vehicles with tight battery boxes where the cables would allow mounting options not possible with a post-mounted unit. Some double sided tape is included to secure the unit, and I may revisit where I placed it later. With the metal case of the unit, it’s important to keep it from swinging around and touching a battery post and causing potential shorts.
With a 600A instantaneous current capacity, this was easily able to cold start the 7.5L V8 of my truck. With a standby power consumption of .01mA and a latching current of 2mA, this unit draws a negligible amount of power from the battery for operation.
Considering how many similar remotes I have around which are unlabeled and hard to keep straight, I wish this unit had a switch or button on it for when the remotes aren’t handy. I left one remote tucked in the battery handle. We’ll see how long it lasts, but it still seems like a good idea despite these shortcomings.
This unit is cheap protection for your expensive battery, as well as providing some level of theft prevention and stranding protection. If you have a vehicle which doesn’t get driven often or has a difficult to diagnose phantom drain, this is much easier than having to take the battery cables off every time.

Good working kit for any 12v engine and great added security. You get 2 remotes and they came active so I don’t know how much battery life is left in them but they both work right now. Of course the purpose of this is added security but if you have dead batteries in the remotes, there is no way around using your vehicle unless you re-wire this setup. The device should have a manual override for any situations like that. The cables are short in my opinion because I would like to mount it completely out of view in case a thief were to look under the hood when trying to figure out why the engine doesn’t start. Still this is a good added security measure. It’s pretty easy to wire in. Nice that it comes with 2 remotes and instructions. You can mount it securely with screws/bolts or use an adhesive piece it comes with. A great addition to your vehicle but I wish it had an override.

It doesn’t work. Remote turns on, but doesn’t turn off. I’ll be returning it and trying a different option
