Used to replace original flasher on my 02 f150, when I changed turn signals to led. Got rid of the hyperflash. With stock flasher I had hyperflash when I replaced just the front turn signals, them when I replaced rear it was a loud buzz. This fixed it. May flash slightly faster than stock but nothing real noticeable. Also clicks once or twice right after you turn off signal.
If replacing original flasher on 02 f150 there is black cover over turn signal and Hazzard flasher. That cover is taped shut with black tape. Can be reached without removing any panels by laying on drivers side floor board and reaching up towards radio by steering column. Do yourself a favor and mark original flasher with a marker on one side. It will be tight to pull out. If you drop it when it breaks free (like I did) you will know which way the blades on new one go in. Case for new flasher is slightly larger than stock. You can easily swap the two covers of the flashers so you can put big cover back on.

Worked fine for about a week , then it started buzzing more and more . On cold days it sounded like someone was choking it . I have since removed my led rear bulbs and gone back to normal bulbs and flasher unit. Don’t waste your time and money !

Bought this Flasher to Over-come fluttering from LED bulbs, works GREAT it doesn’t Care about What bulbs or Combination you use but you do LOUSE the Warning Feature if a Bulb goes OUT! Check your lights OFTEN!

Seriously one of the best products out there if you’re converting to LEDs. I have a 02 Ford Excursion. I purchased LED turn signals for both headlight and twilight housing. Also purchased resistor harnesses. Lets just say the resistors didn’t work, made me very frustrated, because they should’ve worked. Took my car to get worked on at an audio shop and explained to them what was going on. Dude said, “Just get an LED flasher relay and it’ll fix the issue.” I said, ok. Ordered this with Priority shipping and arrived on time. Plugged it in and it works like a charm! no headaches. Just plug and play. and no more hyper flash. I will say, the only “Con” if it should even be considered a con, it that after you’ve canceled the signal, the relay continues to tick for maybe half a second. It doesn’t bother me at all and you can’t even tell if the radio is on.

The easiest way to install these is to take out your head unit. Some people take out the entire dash or go under the steering wheel. I found that if you take out the head unit (radio), it’s literally down and to the left, about 4-5 inches down. There is a black protective box covering it with two clips on each side. Inside you’ll find 2 relays. One is for the hazards and the other is the flasher. If you haven’t already changed it once, the flasher relay will be blue and the hazard is black. The LED flasher is quite a bit longer than the OEM, so you won’t be able to put the protective cover back on. Not a huge deal but something to keep in mind if you blinkers stop working, the relay may have come unplugged somehow, with vehicle motion. The longest part of the process was getting the OEM flasher out. It took quite a bit of wiggling to get it to come out from the socket. Installing this LED flasher was a breeze though.

    Extremely happy with this product.

    Installed in a 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 4×4. April 4th 2021.
It just fits and I mean Just fits. 🙂

Work great for nine months but then started to click all the time. Oddly enough, it still worked as it should but the clicking became unbearable. I have bought two more and will report back later. Also I will reach out and provide feedback to the seller.

This may be my issue as I have LED’s in rear and Filament bulbs in the front.
Looking to sourcing LED’s for the front.

For the price and the brightness of LED’s I’d recommend this unit.

    UPDATE: Oct 2023
I’m on my third one now and so far so good.
Second one did the same as the first in about 8 months.
I am using the LED’s in the back for their brightness, as much of my commuting is in the dark.
Think I got a bad units.
    Cheers.

Product works as advertised. Blink rate is a little faster than original flash relay, but not bad. Shipping was quick and there were no issues.

  7. MadPB

I read other reviews stating that the EP27 model was larger than the OEM, but I was okay with that. It just meant I couldn’t use the same plastic cover as before.

Installation was as “easy” as it could be. I mean, once you get to where the flasher actually is (on a ’99 Ford F350 in my case – way up under the dash in a totally ridiculous place), it’s as easy as plugging it in.

At first I was happy because it worked with my LED turn signals and all seemed fine, but then I realized that even with the truck off, key out, it kept making a clicking noise. No lights were flashing when that happened, but it was clicking nonetheless. Even with the engine running, it still made a constant clicking like it was activated, but just a bit quieter than if the engine was off. Very weird.

I suspected the multifunction switch may have been the problem so I went and bought a new one. It’s common on these trucks to have the MFS fail. But while I was at the store getting the MFS I picked up a Novita model EP27 flasher just in case.

Glad I did – the replacement MFS didn’t make any difference (I kept it though, for other reasons). But plugging in the Novita branded flasher works great! I should have got one of those to start with and saved myself the hassle and waiting on the slow shipping. I’m glad my auto parts store had them in stock – they were right there along with all kinds of other LED compatible flashers. Do yourself a favor – skip Amazon and go to your local auto parts store and get one that works right the first time, and faster.

    This lemon is being returned.

Item does not function properly when temperature is below freezing.

I have a 2007 Ford F-150 and just replaced my blinkers with LED versions and got the hyper-blinking issue as a result. The flasher relay is located under the steering wheel/column and a little to the left, attached a metal bar that is part of the dash. I saw videos saying to remove a facia panel held in with screws and then you can reach up inside and get to it. Personally, I removed a panel that is on the edge of the dash, where it meets the door and was able to see what I was doing from there and reached up from under the dash and timed myself. It took five minutes to swap out the relay.

The new one doesn’t have the mounting tabs to attach it to that metal bar, but a zip tie under the dash isn’t a problem and did a great job keeping it in place.

If you have hyper blinking after swapping to LED blinkers, I highly recommend this product.
