This light bar harness bypasses the battery and draws power from a cigarette lighter outlet. It makes for an easier install than traditional harnesses and feels sturdy overall. Plus, if you’re someone who has battery draining issues this will likely solve your problem as it can easily be unplugged, just like a car charger.

I bought 4 of these for a project and 3 of them didn’t work. As it turns out, the polarities were reversed, but if you follow the instructions in the product images, it is easy enough to remedy.
It looks like iJDMToy’s test bench can’t detect polarity issues, or the people there don’t understand that diodes–specifically LEDs–don’t work like classic DC circuits. I image they just have an incandescent light bulb attached to a cable that they plug in to verify operation, but an LED light bar wouldn’t work this way.
It’s unfortunate that I had to spend the money in return shipping to find this out, but in the end I have what I needed for my project, so I’m happy in that respect.

Very disappointing. I bought this to add a light bar to my boat. But the cigarette lighter adapter did not work …. I also bought an adapter from the same company. But was a total waste of time and money. I ended cutting the cigarette lighter and the adapter and connecting the light bar directly to the battery. I’m not even asking for a refund!! But don’t waste your money with this !
