    The cap and rotor fit perfectly on the 454 in my 98 Bounder. Reuse the stock screws. You’ll need a t20 and t15.

    Replaced the factory distributor after 240k miles. Fits and functions as should. Set camshaft position correlation . Also replaced replaced crankshaft position sensor. Engine runs good with no misfires or codes.

    I am the guy that almost always gives 5 stars but I’ve got to be honest here..The distributor works great. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because the bracket that mounts it to the engine is a fixed bracket. I had to knock it off with a hammer and use my old one because it won’t let you adjust the housing properly. Not only can you not adjust the housing but the housing also doesn’t have a timing mark on the bottom of the shaft that helps keep you in line while installing. I had to feel which way the oil pump shaft was turned to line it up properly. Which is pretty rough if your truck is lifted at all. Plus it’s at the back of the engine and shining a light while doing everything is tough. Had there been a mark on the housing and adjustable housing, I’d give it 5 stars.

    This distributor is machined and assembled solid and nicely. It’s far better than the old plastic shaft one I removed. This one is full aluminum. I used a different cap and rotor that I had purchased due to some other reviews mentioning the ones that came with it being a little on the cheap side, but the unit itself is worth every penny. It fit in perfect and brought my truck right back to life.

    After installing this distributor correctly 5 times, I got it to work by knocking the pin out of the drive gear and rotating the gear 180 degrees on the shaft and reinstalling. Fell right into place, oil pump and all. Started the truck and no more P1345 code. Truck runs smooth.
