Ordered this part and installed it and my truck wouldn’t start. I ended up taking it to a mechanic and was told it was a bad distributor. My mechanic dropped a new distributor in and it fired right up.

Machined aluminum – much nicer quality than the plastic OEM distributor. Cap seals much better to the distributor, cured my hard start due to moisture condition.
Ethan Robles –
Straightforward install it was actually earlier than I thought and have no issues with it so far.

This cap and rotor came with wrong hold down screws for cap and rotor. I discovered the hard way and forced the replacement screws in distributor and broke one off in rotor and broke one off in cap. So now I have to pull distributor from my 4.3 GM vortex engine and replace with another distributor. Buyer beware. Use your old factory screws if you are replacing cap and rotor.
