The description said it fits, doesn’t cost very much, bought it without reading the reviews that said the holes don’t line up. Duh, one hole is way forward of the other hole, they are even on my OEM. Tried using the mill to move the hole where it should be. Difficult to hold in the vise, ended up breaking the end mill. Tried using a 3/16 drill bit on a hand drill, pretty difficult since you can’t hold it very well. Tried a file, again pretty difficult to hold. Ended up after an exercise in futility wrecking it from bending it in the vise, so it now resides in the garbage can. Have no idea if it works or not if you could actually get it to fit. Oh well, off to see if I can locate the correct part. Buyer beware, the seller clearly says look at the holes to see if they line up, yet they also say in the description it fits an OHV 130.

Holes were out of line had to re drill them to make clearance but after installing mower started fired up.

From ordering to receiving and replacing was flawless..

Installed on a 8 hp single stroke snowblower, that was the easy part. Trying to get the correct distance from the ignition coil and the magnet on the flywheel is tricky part, much more difficult when I didn’t have the correct feeler gauge. I now have a spark and machine is up and running. (Maybe check the clearance with a feeler gauge before removing the old ignition coil).

Worked for my engine which is a Tecumseh 8,5 hp shredder chipper. Be sure to check the model number on the engine to get the correct coil
