This part is some $200+ USD at the Volvo dealer and from what I see on line, it can fail and cause many symptoms of
a dysfunctional HVAC system.
Packaging is excellent. Very well protected with bubble wrap and padding.
So, I got it for my project car and watched a few videos on the installation.
YIKES. Not easy to install in a Volvo xc70. I struggled for a few hours and finally got it.
(Definitely misleading statement-installs effortlessly.)
It seems like a perfect replacement. I see many other automotive HVAC parts from this same company.
All with decent prices.
My philosophy regarding some of these parts….If OEM parts fail at a high rate, I will try aftermarket parts and see if
reliability is better. One thing for sure….the price is much better.
Other than my difficulties with installation, I think this is OEM quality and possibly made in the same factory.
Consider where most electronics are manufactured.
Looks good, functions good, good price, …etc
