This is part of a bigger project—my air inlet duct (the flapper) broke, which caused the blower motor to roar. Apparently, this is a common issue with Fords. Since my old blower was already noisy even before the flapper piece broke off and dropped into it, I decided to replace the blower as well.
Overall, the swap went smoothly. One of the three 8 mm screws was a bit of a pain—took some time, but a ratcheting wrench did the trick. The other two were much easier, especially with a gooseneck extension for access.
The new blower is nice and quiet, and I’m really happy with the result. Just wish the air inlet duct wasn’t so expensive!

I bought this because my HVAC motor is now making unusual noises and this is the first sign of a motor about to go out. I had this same issue in another Ford truck, so I’m confident that this will solve the issue. It’s a pretty easy DIY fix given the location of the actual component, so for under $40 you can likely solve this on your own and stop the pesky noise (and eventual air flow issues once it goes out).
What I know so far (I haven’t installed it yet, just got it early this morning):
* part arrived quickly, shipping was next day
* part appears in good working order, boxed properly
* good value for the money given the problem it solves and what a mechanic would charge (minimum $500)
I will update this review after the actual installation in my truck to confirm fit and functionality.

The fan makes a whirring noise at low to medium speed. Did not do that with the OEM part. It is such a pain to install I didn’t ask for a replacement

Exact oem fit. Blows out air amazing. Was in 2 boxes with cardboard around it and bubble wrap so it was well packaged. Just installed it yesterday and was plug and play. Can’t ask for much better

This item worked perfectly for my 2010 Lincoln navigator. It was an exact fit, I stepped it through all the different speeds, and it was silent and blew well throughout all the different speeds. This item should work well for your Ford product.
