Bought these to use in my 4×4 Traxxas Slash. Installed the 13t pinion, which is a direct match to the original that ships with the truck. It fit perfectly on my Castle 1410 motor with the 5mm shaft, so I was excited. Re-assembled the truck, making sure to set the gear spacing correctly and took it out. Note: This truck is brand new with only one 3 minute test run on it with the original pinion. Something didnt sound quite right while running it. Upon inspection, I found the pinion gear wasnt a 100% match to the 32p spur gear and the spur gear had quite a bit of visible damage. I then did a test between the stock Traxxas pinions and these. Taking both the 13t and optional 18t pinions that come with the truck, I meshed them together with my fingers and spun them and they moved freely. I then took the 18t Traxxas pinion and meshed it with the 13t Hobbypark pinion I had in the truck and they spun about 3/4 of the way around when suddenly they bound up, indicating the tooth spacing is not the same. I tried this again with other pinions from the set on both the 13t and 18t Traxxas pinions with the same results, none of them meshed correctly. So…. lesson learned, you get what you pay for and there is a reason why the big name gear manufacturers charge upwards of $10 per pinion gear vs this set. I will probably need to replace my spur gear now.

Gears were listed with a 1/8″ diameter hole which should be 3.18mm, but seems to be 5mm so it is too large for my Castle brushless motor. Other than that, they do seem like they’re pretty good quality.

Says it has an 1/8 inch hole, more like a 1/4 inch hole, does not fit the disciption
