Performing well so far. Good OEM part

Yes, it was easy to install but did absolutely nothing to help my car. I know this was the issue, the light went off, and came back on a day or two later saying the range/perfomance of the mass air flow censor is off. I know it’s the censor since all filters are clean. We have misplaced the old MAF Cesnor so we couldn’t even return this one for a refund. Would not reccomend or purchase from here again.

Work fine when first replaced. All light went off and the code was no longer reading. Here we are 3 months later code reading and replacing

This was exactly what I was looking for when I had a check engine light on my 2014 Nissan Sentra. This was the exact same model as the sensor that came from factory in my car. I was recommended to buy this from my local Advance Auto Parts!

This is an OEM sensor from the supplier for Nissan. Note that there is a Nissan issued service bulletin that states the car may require reprogramming at the dealer or shop with the appropriate equipment in order for the check engine light to stay off. It is noted in the paperwork that comes with the sensor. I suspect the negative reviews on here are regarding that and folks did not pay attention to the documentation that was in the box. If you happen to have an advanced obd scanner, just pop in the new sensor and reset your trims. That did the trick for me!

The price was like to high..

I’m no mechanic so ya know trust the experts I guess but – Amazon and the paper inside the packaging claim it doesn’t fit the 2013 Nissan Sentra. Although, if you go to the Hitachi website and use their part finder you’ll find the Hitachi MAF0102 is made for the 2013, 2014, and 2015 Sentra. AutoZone and O’Reilly also claim it fits the 2013 Sentra.

I was quoted $800 to have this part replaced and ‘calibrated.’ Given they would have used the original Nissan part – its $300 normally, $100 in labor, and another $400 to ‘calibrate.’ I did it with this part and 10 minutes of my time for a whopping $120, I bought a scan tool with it to reset the ECM. Its probably the easiest part I’ve replaced on my car, like two screws and a clip. I just replaced it so I’m not sure how the calibration part of this will turn out. From what I’ve researched you don’t necessarily need to have it calibrated since the car does do that on its own. You do need to reset the Engine Control Module (ECM) or Engine Control Unit (ECU) in your car by disconnecting the negative terminal of your battery for 15 minutes, but there isn’t a guarantee it’ll work. So you can use a cheap OBD-II scan tool to tell it to reset directly. This resets the data that the computer collected from your original bad sensor. Regardless even if I have to go back to have it calibrated I potentially saved $300-400 by doing the easy part.

Works perfectly on a 2014 Nissan Sentra despite the leaflet included that says only up 2013 Sentra. Cleared the MAF Circuit Performance Code right away and acceleration is more snappy.

Alright. I’m completely satisfied with this product. When my mechanic told me that I needed to replace my mass air flow sensor and that it was a “dealer only” item I was very discouraged. I could have spent $360 buying this from the dealer but I instead decided to take a chance and buy this product even though there were two reviews saying that this is not compatible with a 2013 and 2016 sentra. Well folks for anyone looking at this for a cheap but reliable solution I am happy to tell you that you found it. It has been about a month since I installed it on my 2014 sentra. Although I am no mechanic this is was super easy to install and my car now rides and sounds as good as new. I use to have a weird sensation when I would get to a stop light back when the car was straight out of the agency where I wasn’t sure if the car was on or off because literally the car made no noise when I stopped at the light. After a few years of wear and tear my car had developed sort of a rumbling noise coming from somewhere near the mass airflow. I just figured it was normal wear and tear but after my car started to turn off by itself immediately after I turned it on I got it checked and I was asked to replace the mass air flow sensor. I replaced it with this one and my car is now as good as new.
