OEM fit and function. Very pleased!

It was odd. Check the air filter and determined it needed to be replaced in the 09 Honda Accord V6. Then the maf dies. Bought this car when it was 27k, and at 63k, maf dies is odd to me. It’s the first maf I’ve lost in all the cars I’ve owned and I’ve owned many makes and models. When I purchased this car before, it had a bad injector so perhaps there are some electrical Gremlins.
Anyways Amazon delivered the first part as planned, but had to return as you can see from the first two photos, someone stuck their old one in the box and returned it. Poor QC by Amazon’s return department. The replacement unit was received the next day.
Some markings look to be removed, refer to the remaining photos (left is new, right is OEM). The units may be remanufactured or fallout rejects from the factory line. Regardless, it was literally plug and pray and it works so far. The bad sensor was throwing P0102 (iat sensor) and P0113 (maf sensor) codes, in case you were wondering. Hope this helps someone confirm this part is ok.

This part is made by Hitachi, the same manufacturer as the original MAF on my 2007 Honda Accord so its a perfect fit.
I’ve learned that the right air/fuel mixture makes a profound difference in my engine’s performance. It’s been a while since I did a tune up on my car and it’s been running sluggish. Fuel economy dropped suddenly almost 2 mpg in April (25.5 down from 27.5 – I’ve tracked every fill since March 2012 with a Mileage App). I figured it was time for a tune up. As a DIYer, I replaced the spark plugs, intake filter, MAF sensor (this item), checked fluid levels, and treated the engine with SeaFoam. What a difference! I even chirped the front tires when accelerating yesterday, no more engine hesitation when changing the gears, and the engine feels like its running more freely. For the little extra in price I recommend getting this over simply cleaning the old one with MAF cleaning spray (which will help).

Perfect OEM replacement for 2005-2010 Honda Odyssey. It cleared up a check engine light and fixed a rough idle, and it improved my gas mileage but about 1mpg.

Quedó genial. Se ve con el ahorro de gasolina –
After cleaning my original Mass Air Flow Sensor and not resolving the CEL, I purchased this OEM Hitachi MAF hoping it help in my troubleshooting.
Direct and easy fit and once I reset my error codes/lights with my OBD II scanner, the check engine light has not returned. Been running my engine for some long distances as well as different RPMs and it looks like it has fixed my issue.

I bought three of these trying to get a good one these are garbage, they all had the serial numbers sanded off. Very disappointing

My daughter’s Check Engine light came on. I plugged in an OBDII scanner and it indicated a rich fuel mixture. Replaced the original MAF with this one, cleared the fault, and the light hasn’t come on since. Car idles better as well and no longer dies when coming to a stop. I went with this one because the one I replaced was manufactured by Hitachi as well.
Installation was super easy A rich fuel mixture can mean a few different things. It’s commonly caused by a bad MAF though so I changed it out first. Fortunately that’s all I needed to do.
