My nearly 200k mile ’01 Pathfinder started misfiring more and more, but would never throw a code for a specific cyl, just P1320. I hesitated to swap all of the coils, since the cost for OEM at the dealer is outrageous. I was really pleased to see that Amazon not only carries coils at a reasonable price, but that they’re Hitachi, which is OEM. Having said that, these do not have the nissan markings, but are exactly like the factory coils otherwise.

If you are not familiar, the 0027 is used on cyl 2-6, and a single 0023 being used on cyl 1. The specific model numbers also depend on the mfr date (see sticker inside driver’s side door jamb), so make sure to check and order accordingly.

The job takes a little over an hour if you’re familiar with the process (in my case I had recently done plugs), but could take a few hours if you’re going through it for the first time. You will have to remove the intake tube, a few vacuum lines, a solenoid on the intake, as well as a few other odds and ends to get to the coils. You may want to change your plugs while you’re at it if they weren’t recently replaced.

I am pleased to report that it has resolved the misfire issue thus far (3 days later), which would have typically reared its head by now. I will update the listing if anything changes.

Been replacing originals with these as they fail. Two so far in the last couple years. Work great, no problems like the generics cause. Save yourself some trouble later and spend the extra for these.

2001 Nissan Pathfinder had a failing P1320 code, and eventually threw a P0304 code, I ordered this replacement coil as I’ve heard that the Hitachi coils are OEM straight across replacements and are infinitely better than any other brand of coil replacement on the market. The only difference I noticed was the newer coil did not rotate at the base of the rubber boot like the older stock coils. Replaced my 4th cylinder along with a new set of the Laser Platinum plugs and both of my error codes went away. Overall install for all plugs and the replacement coil took me just over an hour.

Take note that Cylinder 1 is a different coil than this, the IGC0027 coil are for Cylinders 2 through 6. Other than that it’s super easy!

I was getting a very rare, intermittent P1320 code on my 2001 Nissan Pathfinder. It happened maybe every 6 months…. and no misfires, so I just cleared the code and pressed on. On a recent spark plug change, I noticed the #6 cylinder’s ignition coil was not like the other 5. It looked like a cheap knock-off. I suspected that might be the issue, so I replaced it with this Hitachi coil. Super easy, took 5 minutes. Fired up great, runs like a champ. I’ll let ya know if the code comes back……🤞
