I have had my Maxima for 18 years now but it was starting to run a little stale. Mileage was off by 5-10%, pep was also dropping. My car was feeling old even though the miles are relatively low (146k) and it is in great shape.
I added these new coils even though the old ones still were operating fine with no codes/. I changed the plugs at the same time and OMG!!! It is back to like it was when it was brand new. Honestly, I feel like my car has a new lease on life – I am driving it now just for fun!
Well worth it and these Hitachi coils are great.
Now some purest will state that you should only use OEM coils and not waste your time with anything else. While this may be true for other after market brands, I can say that my car is running great with these from Hitachi (made in Japan FYI…). Purest may then say “just wait.. they will soon fail).
Here’s the thing. If these ever do fail me, I will be back here providing you with an update – that I promise.
Cheers!

I bought a code reader AFTER paying $200 twice to replace 2 blown coils (one right after the first) in my 2000 Maxima. When the 3rd one went, the reader told me which one, I ordered this coil for $38, replaced the bad one and the car has been fine. They are really easy to replace, so, do it yourself and save. I wish I had done so earlier. Also, dropping the car off at the mechanic and tying it up for two days is a real hassle. I’m very satisfied with this coil and the seller who got it to me in a hurry. This is an exact fit coil for the even bank of cylinders.

Had a P1320 code on my 2000 Maxima. Replaced the factory coils with a set of non-oem coils. What a mistake. Car ran OK, but the P1320 code remained. After doing some research, I discovered this is a common problem when using non-oem coils. Used these and the check engine light went away. Couldn’t be happier.

This coil worked perfect in my 2000 Maxima. I had both the 1320 and 304 codes. As a lot of people know some after market coils will still cause the 1320 code. This coil fixed my miss firing #4 cyl and also got rid of the 1320 code
