Fits in place of the OEM fan resistor.
What a dumb design by chrysler, all their electronics are dumb designs…
When this blows, the electric fan will only turn on during extreme coolant overheat limit or maximum AC high side pressure limit.
Plus, it limits power to the fan motor.
The ecm is watching the relay, instead of watching AFTER the resistor, so it won’t cause a code when it fails, chrysler thinks everything is fine even though fan won’t turn on until 110C now.
Even the temperature logic should catch this, hmm, engine keeps going to full temp limit even though i told the fan to turn on, but in chryslers eyes, this is perfectly normal…. if you want the engine to blow up just a bit after warranty.

It’s a fan resistor… before replacing it, the fan didn’t work, Now it works.
