This is my review of the Capacity.Li 60v 50amp Battery charger.
I was looking for a power supply for programing and coding automotive computers that was stable, portable and didn’t cost $1k+. That is a lot to ask for if you have been looking such a unicorn and you just found it. This wasn’t advertised as such, but it fits the requirements of programable voltage/amperage output plus extra features not even offered on any of the high dollar power supplies I was looking at, including stable adjustable constant current or constant voltage to the tenth of a volt or amperage, compensates automatically for load on electrical system for accessories up to 50 amps + has built in compensation for the length /gauge of cable used to connect to the battery on the display! Display shows: battery ohms, set voltage, set current (amps), time charging- set time to float charge after volts/amps setting reached, total current output for charging cycle, cable connection status, electrical main power voltage (from the wall plug), AND MORE. It operates on 110v & 220v PLUS YOU CAN POWER FROM A 12V BATTERY TO USE THE FRONT OUTPUT, IT HAS A FRONT AND REAR POWER IN/OUTPUT!! The front accepts standard banana plugs or bare wire, the rear uses a XT-60 plug like r/c cars etc. The screen is lockable with user set password that will keep kids and shop hands from messing with your settings, there is a full display of all functions of this “battery charger” that includes all battery conditions- state of charge, output volts and amps as on main screen, device internal temperature, state of cooling fans and RPMs (there are 2-front and back, the rear is on demand only, both with variable RPMs by temp, and yes its quiet) the entire display is packed with more info than my Launch tablet has on the car I was working on and that really says something about how advanced this tool really is. To add to how awesome this charger is I contacted the seller/manufacture before I purchased and after to ask a ton of questions, even asked for their engineer for answers regarding the stability of the current for my ECU programing requirements–all were answered within 12hrs with a very friendly employee that always had the answers I needed. Keep in mind that they are selling this as just a “battery charger” for LiFePO4 Lithium Iron Rechargeable Battery charger…. I have never purchased a more under stated, over built tool in my life! No, I did not get this as free promo- I bought this with my own hard earned $$. I write very few reviews and only when it’s a product that really deserves a positive or negative to help out my fellow auto mechanics. This thing is a must have for anyone that wants to have absolute control over every aspect of battery charging, an ECM/ECU power supply and a bench top power supply for DC electronics testing that is built like a tank- the body is solid aluminum-NOT PLASTIC! Did I mention that its currently connected to a Toyota Prius HV battery for individual cell balancing? Yea it does that too. I absolutely love this for professionals’ battery charger!!
Notes: In the product description they state there is a discrepancy between the actual battery voltage and what is shown on the display, this is due to the display showing what you have set the voltage to, and the battery voltage having not reached this level yet as it takes a couple of minutes for the battery to achieve the input voltage. This is not an error of the display at all only the normal electrical delay of the battery.
The supplied battery cables are short, I think about 2ft or so, fine for normal usage but inconvenient for use while working on a vehicle. – I made my own 6gage using jumper cables from Harbor Freight, cutting a set of clamps off one end and attaching an Anderson connector to use the XT-60 to Anderson adapter supplied with the charger. This allows the charger to be placed on my programming cart safely away from the car.

I was a little wary on buying this item as it had very little reviews, but by the description it was the best bench power supply I could find. I bought the Z120V version as I needed to charge lifepo4 batteries that were 72V and other various lithium and lead acid batteries I had. Here is a list of what I’ve used it for:
1. Bringing 2 36v “dead” lithium batteries back to life. They did not reach the minimum volts of no return, but they were at the point where their BMS would no longer activate. This power supply helped save them.
2. Charging up various kid’s toys like plastic ATVs, razer scooter, and other various things.
3. Bringing a 0V lead-acid battery back to life. I couldn’t get any smart charger to charge it, but used this power supply to jump-start it and then the smart chargers started working again.
So far, this thing has been awesome. I have another power supply which makes it much more difficult to set constant current or constant voltage, but this thing is a breeze. It’s very important to be able to do CC or CV for charging lithium batteries. I’d be careful about leaving it unattended unless the battery you’re charging has a BMS and you carefully set all of the correct max voltages, amps, power, and set a cutoff for it.
There are a ton of pros of this thing, but I’ll list some cons even though I don’t think this should stop someone from buying
1. Very short alligator clip cable. Not a big deal if you are DIY.
2. Their firmware update process is through bluetooth and WeChat. I haven’t attempted to update but that’s a strange decision (I know it’s from China).
3. The power cable can be longer.

This is a very nice machine for charging lithium battery banks, i’m currently using it to charge my 3 Aolithium 51.2v 100ah rack mount battery bank & will also be using it on my other 12v & 24v systems i have being off grid. I will probably be buying another one in the near future, i was searching for a while for a quality unique machine like this & so far i’m loving this thing.
