I purchased this for a 1997 Ford Escort with the 2.0. The car is a hooptie but it’s all factory. I purchased this ignition to replace the factory one that no longer works. Upon installation we noticed the plug had to be plugged in upside down to fit. This only created the issue of the ignition not working at all.
This part is cheap and could very possibly be the best bang for the buck but as per usual the manufacturer does not take the time to ensure decent quality control.
