The TPDL Heavy Duty Battery Jumper Cable Clamps for DeWalt 20v Batteries are a great addition to my SxS toolbox. Since I already carry a DeWalt 20v battery and impact wrench with me, this adapter is a natural fit. It provides a convenient way to potentially jump-start a dead battery in an emergency.
The clamps are solid, with a strong grip and quality parrot clips that ensure a secure connection. The 11AWG cables feel durable and appear capable of handling the current required for a quick jump-start. While I haven’t had a chance to test it on a dead battery yet (thankfully), it should theoretically provide enough power to crank the machine at least once, which is all you’d need in most situations.
This compact setup takes up minimal space in my toolbox and adds a layer of peace of mind. If you’re already using DeWalt 20v batteries, this is a smart addition for added versatility. Highly recommend it!

Mein Fahrzeug: Fiat Ducato / 2,5D / Bj 1990

Perfect for if you need a quick start for a weak battery. Probably would not be best to try to use on a completely dead battery. There are a lot of things out there that say you could leave it connected for a few without trying to start the vehicle and/or before starting switch to a fully charged battery. Remember, these are for a quick jump… dont try to turn it over for more than a couple seconds or else you can ruin your battery packs.

It’s ok for small stuff like atv’s or mowers but it doesn’t work well on cars or trucks.

I ordered the jump starter that takes a craftsman battery. The battery connected and fit well with no issues. The jumpstart leads are flexible enough to bend and turn for easy hook up. The clamps seem decent enough to do the job. The jump starter tool has some handy indicator lights giving you an idea of what’s what. Jump starter tool does not come with a battery so you will need to get one of those if you don’t already have one. Tool works good and gets the job done.

Horrible product! Got it, plugged a few different batteries up to it and it didn’t work. Decided to take it a part to see why, and i see this…

I’m a big fan of all the DeWalt 20V Max devices, and this is no exception. I do not have a dead vehicle battery at the moment, but can’t wait to test this out. I’ve gone through the motions; 20V Max batteries slip right on and enable the jump starter, device seems very well made, leads are very sturdy and a good distance apart to reach the terminals, but not too long to reduce portability. I expect I will use this first on my snowblower tractor when the snow flies, so I will write back with a more complete review when I actually use it. Right now, I am very impressed.

This unit functioned as advertised and was able to jump a 12V wet battery of a SUV. It’s very nifty to have an additional tool attachment that uses typical Dewalt type batteries, and keep on the car for emergencies. I haven’t noticed any additional stress on the batteries and neither excessive heat from the unit, I would follow it’s use by the instructions closely.
The attachments plastic quality feels durable enough to be tossed in the tool bag, but I would highly recommend a pouch or bag to store it, as the lead cables are not that thick, I worry about them becoming unattached with enough stress.
Overall, a nice options to have, and does it’s job.
