    I installed these last week on my 2011 Tundra. The install was messy but very easy. All you need is a set of metric sockets, a jack, tire iron, and 2 c-clamps. You can find all the instructions to do this yourself online through a search. So far the braking is very smooth and quiet. We’ll see how they wear in the long run. I will post back if there are any issues.

    I’ve never had brakes dust as bad as these. They squeak for the first couple stops(I installed them correctly) They’re not any better than my stock Tundra brakes were. I will never buy Hawk again.. Rims are brown after a couple days.

    Stops well after recommended bed-in procedure. I don’t notice any significant noise from these. When I installed them, I put the anti-squeak stuff between the pad and the shim, and on the outside of the shim. I’m not sure what’s going on that others are complaining that they’re noisy. They do say they’re not recommended for daily driven vehicles, but I tend to drive assertively so I bought them for their supposed resistance to fading when they warm up. I haven’t tested that yet, but I’m satisfied so far. I’ll be interested to see how long they last.

    Great stopping power, definitely better than OEM; however, they are really noisy meaning they squeak during a slow stop. Not a quick or mild squeak but a high pitched long squeak — pulled brakes back apart and cleaned everything, checked shims and seemed secure. Had them for a year and will be replacing. Would be great for a trailer, but not for a vehicle you drive daily around town.

    These are awesome.! I recently installed the power stop slotted/ drilled rotors and pads and it was SO-SO compared to OEM equipment when it comes to standing on the brake pedal to stop the heavy Tunda!

    Braking is the ONLY complaint about my 2010 Tundra. I haul a 32’ bumper pull camper and also an 18’ steel deck open car trailer. Often times I’m standing on the brakes to stop the truck even with NO trailer on it.

    These pads are life changing.! First time out after installing and I locked up the front brakes in a down poring rain.!

    I’ve put about 40,000 miles on these pads and there just about wore out. They also create a huge amount of dust! It has pretty much ruined my chrome wheels because I don’t want to wash them every week. When I put these on new, I also put new bosch rotors on. I just replaced those bosh rotors again because they had huge groves cut in the faces, maybe from the pads maybe rocks, IDK. The rotors had also began to warp and I was getting shimmy in my steering wheel. But this combo has held up better than any of the others I have had. This is the 4th set of rotors I have put on my truck! Ceramic pads will glaze onto your rotors and warp them according to what I’ve read and the purpose of ceramic was for low dust. I don’t think you can get ceramic for big rigs so that should tell you something about its uses. So I will probably go back to these pads as I don’t have a better choice and they do stop really well.

    At about 76,000 miles the factory front brakes on my 2014 Toyota Tundra had seen better days. After doing some research I opted to replace the pads and rotors with a mid-grade rotor and the upgraded GT pads offered by my local parts store. The hope was to improve the stopping performance over stock. After the “upgrade” I was less than impressed. The stopping ability didn’t increase but actually significantly decreased over stock. The created some braking anxiety knowing I couldn’t stop as well as I once could. This was far from an upgrade.

    By 80,000 miles my rear brake pads needed to be replaced. Seeing this as an opportunity to upgrade to a known performance pad and a chance to replace the front pads at the same time. I selected a set of mid-range replacement rotor and a set of Hawk SD performance brake pads for the rear axle. I also got a set of Hawk SD performance brake pads to replace the GT pads on the front of the truck praying it would improve the braking this time. I had seen some great reviews about the pads so I thought I would give it a shot.

    After replacing all of the components and bedding in the new Hawk SD pads per the instructions, I let all of the components cool off a bit before conducting a set of test. I needed to see if the hype about the pads was worth the price or just a bunch of hoopla like the set of GT pads I got. I conducted my first test from 40 mph by preforming a panic stop to see if there were any improvement. I was impressed by the deference in stopping distance but was equally concerned that the Toyota symbol located in the center of my steering wheel was now permanently imprinted into my forehead. Undeterred, I tried another test.

    My next test was a panic stop from 60 mph. Again, I was impressed and concerned. I was impressed by the reduced stopping distance of the Hawk SD pads compared to both the factory and the GT pads. The ABS had to engage several times and it had never done that before on dry pavement. The stopping distance improved more than 50% over stock and well over that in comparison to the GT pads. I was mildly concerned that the dental work that was once firmly in the back of my mouth was now permanently embedded into the trucks windshield. Feeling like this could have been an anomaly, I tried one final test.

    My last test was a panic brake from 88 mph. Given the last tests I was equally impressed by the results of the Hawk SD pads that far exceeded anything the factory pads ever produced. On a side note, I was also able to recast my 2016 presidential election vote after this last test. It’s possible that I’m now in a parallel universe. I’m terrified of conducting any further testing at this point. I highly recommend the Hawk SD pads for any application. I wish you good luck, and my god have mercy on your soul.

    These pads don’t seem to have any greater bite or stopping power than OEM. They are noisier though, having some noticeable squeal when first driving the vehicle after it has been sitting. They also produce copious amounts of brake dust.

    Great stopping power, but the brake dust these pads create is horrible. Switched to EBC and ditched the Hawk.
