I am sure these are a great product. They don’t fit my 05 silverado even tho amazon says they do. My advice to all, check the manufacturer’s website to confirm the product number you need. Cost me $8.26 to return this item. I will say that Amazon makes it easy to return items, so no complaint there. Auto parts are a difficult thing to get right. Do your homework.

I bought these to replace my ceramic brake pads. The best pads I have used yet as far as stopping goes. Just slightly more dust than my ceramics but it is well worth the added stopping power and safety.

Great pad for the intended purpose. If you want I quite brake pad this is the wrong one for you. If you want a pad with GREAT stopping power and heat resistance this is the pad for you. We use it on a k2500 hauling tractors and they were a big improvment in stopping power.

I had to wait a short time to get these installed. I replaced both front brakes because of the 1 front caliper was sticking. The brakes still had plenty of pad. these are the the best pads you will ever want. The seller was great on the info for the pads … making sure they fit mt truck. Can not go wrong with these pads. Will outlast me !

These stop ok. When cold however they don’t stop as good as stock. Worse, I get a bad squeal from the brakes at lower speeds especially when cold. Called Hawk and they said to try some rubber brake shim material or compound behind the pads. I haven’t tried this yet. I drive a lifted pickup with 35″ tires and pull a boat, so I wanted the best brakes as far as overheating is concerned. This is why I purchased the Hawks. I think if I had to do this again I would have ordered the new ceramic compounds. Ceramics are not as good with respect to temp, but better than stock and don’t squeal.
UPDATE – The squeal was driving me crazy. So I took all the pads off, lightly sanded the glaze off the pad & off the rotors. Then I cleaned off the old anti squeal compound on the back and sprayed a couple coats of Permatex disk brake quiet on the backs and let them dry. I put them all on & happily the brakes were quiet. However after around 300 miles they are starting to slightly squeal again. Not as bad as before but very annoying. – DON’T BUY THIS PRODUCT – save your money and buy stock pads OR buy a ceramic compound. These were very expensive pads. I am sure they have some good attributes, unfortunately I have not found any of them.

Installed on my 2003 work van. Better than anything I previously installed. Much less dust than the ceramics I did have. I did install new rotors as well. Stops great. No fading. No squealing.

I’ve had Hawk pads before so I expected a lot when I got these for my Avalanche. Avalanches are somewhat notorious for stopping poorly, at least around my area. They didn’t quite fit when I installed them; they were extremely tight in the slides. I actually ended up trimming some of the backing plate off to make them slide in easier. After I finally got them installed, the stopping performance was just so-so. Improved from my previous setup, but not by much. Although I haven’t bedded them in yet, which should help.
They squeal incessantly. Cruising with no brakes, they squeal. On braking, they squeal. Even with the windows up you can hear it. My previous Hawk pads squealed on light braking, but that was it. If I had to do it over again, I would buy a nicer pad, maybe something ceramic, and have a quiet ride.

They stop good and the don’t squeal or squeak. They do put off much more dust than I have anticipated. For that reason I will not buy again.
