Works great for keeping my AC running on my motor home too!
Just spins and spins… the belt goes around it, and it stays in perfect tension and alignment. Just like it’s supposed to.

Finding replacement parts for vintage cars and trucks with dealer installed AC, which used to be common, is a real pain. This v-belt idler pulley was used on lots of them. Approximately 17mm inside diameter and 3 1/2″ outside diameter. Fits a 1/2″ wide v-belt.
Perfect fit for the restored vintage dodge with a 360… I have cold air again!

The original pulley has a very special bolt that is fully captive after manufacture. I had to use an angle grinder with a cutoff wheel to recover the bolt for reuse. It has a shoulder and 5/16 threads with a flat machined on it. You won’t find one of those in a hardware store.
The second less important issue is that the photo of the offered part shows a black pulley like the original. What was delivered was silver.
Otherwise it installed and worked perfectly with the recovered bolt. But the finish detracts from the original look. I
