Works great for removing bug and road spray. I found that prespraying my front grill with this helps getting off bugs. Normally I would be scrubbing to get them off, but this considerably softens them up and makes them much easier to clean off.

I got the H.O.W SHINE SERIES Bug & Tar Remover mainly to use on my Harley for removing bugs.
If you ride a motorcycle, you know what I’m talking about. This stuff works really well at removing bugs from the front of my motorcycle, and does not seem to harm the paint at all.
It also removes normal road tar and grease that can build up as well.
Overall I’m very happy with this product and will continue to use it for removing dead bugs from my motorcycle.

This was very effective at removing those stuck on bugs after a road trip. While it was still winter the front grill was able to collect a bunch of them. A few sprays on the microfiber cloth and mild elbow grease removed all the bugs and some droppings without any issues. As a test one section i just used microfiber cloth and water and the difference was allot more noticeable, as i needed to apply allot more pressure and spend more time removing the bugs.

I drive a lot at night and my front bumper and headlights get a lot of bugs stuck in them. It’s very hard to get them out even when using a microfiber sponge and a good car shampoo. I’ve tried other products with no avail but this one seems to work great for it. I like that it seems to soften almost all the bugs that are stuck to the front of the car. I spray it like a pre wash and then use a microfiber sponge to finish everything and it removes almost all of the bugs with a simple swipe of the sponge. The other more tough ones take a couple of more swipes but they clean out well.
I dont love the smell of it because its a little chemically but it says its not toxic so it should be good.

Disappointed. It didn’t work any better than regular car wash. I couldn’t get the dead bugs off either. I have a white car and it looks exactly the same. I followed the instructions and used gloves. I tried two times and it still didn’t work. Also, the sprayer stopped working in the middle of application so I had to use a rag.

I got a new car and wanted to get some cleaning supplies. I have not found a good non-toxic cleaner for getting off those tough tar stains until now. Works great! This can also be used to get off gum and stickers, so not just for your car.

Can’t have too much stuff to remove bugs off your car. Especially hate the hard to clean ones that get stuck on the front of the hood and grill. Don’t forget to wear gloves.

H.O.W AUTO DETAILING bug and tar remover is just what I was looking for to remove black marks from my white van! Somewhere I had black marks on the side of my white van just behind the tires and on the doors, and this helped wash it off. I also used it on the front for bug collisions.
