My mowers steering went out, couldn’t turn at all. But this helped tremendously. Highly recommend.
JS –
Huge savings over going to the local John Deere dealer. Parts seem to be of good quality and fit well. Now, to see how long they last.

I really wish it included a new nylock nut for the shoulder bolt that the slot rides on. The old ones cannot be reused and were beaten up by wear and rocks and such. Never did manage to get the old pinion gear off the mower, but all of the serious wear was on the thinner plate. But before you get under the mower to replace these don’t forget to brush or blow out all of the old grass and rocks like I did.
Amazon Customer –
Exact replacement and working great.

The pinion gear wore out in less than a year and had to buy a new one from John Deere.

I like the fact that if you put some greave on the gears and the bolt area it makes it last longer and it is much smoother.
thank you –
good for my equiment
