Easy install and works great.

As the the header says. Works perfectly for my ’86 GMC Sierra. Spend the money and go with the OEM replacement for your speedo cable. None of the aftermarket ones worked.

I hung the cable outside in the heat for a day with tape covering the ends to prevent dust getting in. This allowed the cable to be smooth and almost no bends and easy to work with. This cable replaced my OG 2 piece cable. I recommend using a string tied to the OG cable when removing (this will make the new install much easier).

I replaced the orig. 2 pc. cable on my 200k + mi. 1987 Monte Carlo SS. I’m the original owner so I know it was the factory installed cable. This new cable is one pc. but it fits perfectly. At first the speedo bounced slightly below 10 mph but that has gone away. The cable came pre greased so maybe the grease was stiff. The speedo bounced up until about 40 with the old cable and the car operated poorly due to the VSS receiving an erratic signal (TCC going in and out for one thing), it’s amazing that a cable would correct all that was going on.

If you have a k10 with the one piece speedo cable get this one. I got the one on LMC truck and not only was it really long, but it made my needle bounce below 25MPH. Swapped it out for this ACdelco cable and now it works perfectly. Also don’t forget to pull the wire all the way out and spray graphite lube down the tube.
