Product did not work for me at first. Followed the directions exactly. Used medium then fine pads followed by the liquid polish. Left hazy swirl marks on the glass which will not polish out. Disappointed since this product was expensive. Tried another glass pane and this time i started out with the fine pad – not using medium at all. This time the glass was clear with only minimal marks. I did notice this second time it worked better to use the outer edge of the pad as you work (instuctions tell you to hold pad flat on glass). Overall product works.

Great Product. Did exactly what it says in the tin.

I bought this to take care of a few minor scratches on some of the windows at my house. Following the directions exactly as stated in the small manual supplied. After reading on how to do it and apply what was listed in the book. I began to sand down the scratches and it was actually working! The scratch was disappearing before my eyes… and many more were being applied. Switching to the lesser grit evened everything out and then when the polish step rolled around. The window looked way more worse for wear than when I started. I feel like this hour could have been applied in a more productive way than wasting it trying to fix some minor scratches.

I have seen some negative reviews here and I understand why. You probably didn’t follow the instructions. I just had a french door installed and the paint was peeling on the inside frame and I thought just use sandpaper to get the paint off. Next day the glass was scratched around every edge of the inserts. I bought this hoping I don’t have to replace the door and I first started with a cordless drill and 3 fresh batteries. 1 hour later 2 batteries down and I barely made a dent. I mean who has a corded drill anymore. Well once I say that I could remove the inserts and it left me with a giant piece of glass I bought their polishing tool. Oh boy am I glad. 20 mins in I got 4 times as much progress as I did with the drill. This is going very well now. Do not buy this thinking its going to be fast and easy. This is more of a slow and steady wins the race. And I do not think that the supplies in the kit are for anything more than 1 scratch. I had to buy 10 of the very course, and 20 of each of the blue and greens.

Great item, but be cautious on how deep the scratches are before you purchase. I tried to remove scratches from one of my windows on my camper shell. Please note, any glass that is on an automobile will be tempered. This mean the glass is extremely hard and is not anything like windows in a home. So yes, if you watch YouTube and see how EASY it is to polish scratches out of glass, they always show you how it’s done on regular glass windows (the type in your home).

A friend of mine (who works for a local automotive glass company) told me to not even try to buff the scratches out since it is tempered. The best thing to do is to replace the glass! Well, my camper shell has not been manufactured for over 10 years now, as the company went out of business. So getting a replacement glass is out of the picture (this is a glass on the side, not the rear). My only option would be to use non-tempered glass, or to replace with plexi-glass/lexan, or to try and buff it out. I chose the last option.

I originally tried a Makita buffer with waterspot remover with no success. I then tried a DA sander (Dual Action sander used in autobody repair) with many different grit sandpaper, both dry and wet (ranging from 230Grit to 400Grit) with no success. The scratches were very deep! I now have invested 12 hours of my time in trying to remove the scratches and only made the situation worse. That is where I ordered this glass polishing kit.

The water bottle and dust mask have you wanting more from them. I immediately threw away the dust mask after using it for half an hour. You do want to use a respirator/dust mask as the fine dust from polishing glass can be dangerous with prolonged exposure. I opted to use the 3″ discs. This kit would be best if it included the coarse discs (also available from this vendor). I first tried to polish the glass using my Milwauke M18 cordless drill. But as the instructions clearly states, they recommend a corded drill. I would also recommend the corded drill too, not just for the higher torque capability and “unlimited” power resource, but most importantly, corded models come with a trigger lock. I brought out my Rigid corded drill and went at it! You want to be very careful when the pad is dry, as the pad may scuff the glass surface more than you’d expect. I would recommend to keep the glass moist at all times, even when first starting off. The arbors will fit into pneumatic die grinders, but the instructions specifically state that this kit is intended to be used with a drill.

The area on the glass that was scratched up, was about 3″ by 5″ (rectangular area). I went thru 3 discs for each grit. I spent about 4 hours using this kit to remove most scratches (but not all). Maybe if I had the coarse disc, I could’ve been successful? It would have taken longer if I had to polish the glass while the window was still on my camper. I was lucky that this piece of glass was removable and it was extremely flat. I just made sure that the glass piece was flat on my work bench with a towel as a cushion, and a clamp to keep the glass from moving around.

Very impressed with the product. Worked extremely well and saved me a lot of money in new side glass on my 77 Corvette. They have youtube videos as well to help you learn how to use there product as well as written instructions. Took deep scatches and even a chip out of my window.

Got this because my kids decided to experiment on my bathroom mirror with cleaning products and ruined the surface. Couldn’t get it off with anything I tried. After reading the instructions decided to try just the polishing compound first. Works very well if you follow the instructions. I also watched several YouTube videos to make sure I knew what to do. The 3″ pad came a little warped so it wabbles every now and then, but it’ll get the job done. I’m doing a 4×4 mirror and so far it’s less than 30 minutes to get through half of it. Getting the bigger pads would be nice for the large area, but it’s getting the job done. In the photo the left side is what the mirror looked like all over, top to bottom, the right is after polishing. Using it with a Hitachi D10VH2 drill. Roughly $90 for the whole setup.

Attenzione! I dischi abrasivi non levigano i vetri temprati ma si limitano a rigarli creando un danno irreparabile!. Descrizione fuorviante

The sanding disks look and act like wet-n-dry sandpaper with a Velcro backing. They are expensive to replace and wear out very quickly even when used with a constant stream of water. The sanding pads are good quality, well-balanced, and worked remarkably, but it takes so long I was afraid I was going to burn out my drill. The other stuff in the box is easily substituted. You get enough disks to do about one job and all you have left that is usable is the pads.
I ended up buying a Harbor Freight angled-grinder-style electric polisher and diamond discs from HIS Glassworks. They cleaned up the mess of deep scratches from the scratch repair kit in no time flat. Some cerium oxide and a few minutes polishing got the surface I was hoping for.
