Although it would be nice to see the actual part in a photo, doing a google search, you can see the part. This went into a 1999 Ford Ranger. Although, I technically didn’t need the parts, I replaced the Tube, and Plunger, with a new set of Bushings (Bushings is what I REALLY needed). The Shifting Bracket had a broken screw. There are videos on YT that will walk you through the process. Figured after 24 years, I’d replace the parts to avoid future issues.
Make sure you lube the Tube and Plunger assemblies. I used white silicon grease.
The truck has never shifted so smoothly!!!

This one worked perfect…Ordered the Dorman one first and key wouldn’t come out when put in park…Had to take the steering column out twice because of this.

This is only the shift tube. Made by Ford good part. You will need to buy the plunger and bushings separately.

… I’d do what I ended up doing and buying a more complete off- brand package for the same price. This is a genuine factory replacement housing. For the same price I bought an off brand housing, internal shaft and both bushing I ultimately needed. Absolutely nothing negative about this genuine part- I just shouldn’t have purchased on impulse. This is a perfect factory part of this is all you need and nothing else I recommend it.

Out with the old and broken, in with the new. I was concerned after reading reviews on this vendor that I’d receive a knock off part so was very relieved when a sealed genuine FORD part arrived.

Arrived on time. Do not use aftermarket parts they do not last. Have bought aftermarket parts for the same job lasted six months.
