I replaced the corroded terminal on my Ford Explorer. This product is the exact part for the vehicle. It is perfect. It was not easy to get the old one off, nor to get the new one on. But this had nothing to do with the part itself. It is bad design by Ford, to make it such that the entire cable harness should be replaced as one unit. The terminal is not intended to be removed and replaced. Easier for them to manufacture that way, but I would have had to pay 550.00 for a bunch of stuff I didn’t need when all I needed was the 20.00 part. I would say if you are reasonably handy and take care not to damage the cable, this is well worth it.

My battery post terminal on the drivers side of my 2016 Ford Super Duty was constantly corroding, and finally broke while replacing the battery. This terminal was easy to install, and thousands of dollars less expensive than having the dealer replace the cable which was the only option for a Ford part.

This was the ideal post clamp to closely match OEM without having to purchase a complete cable assembly from FORD. The one drawback. It was for a post diameter much larger so it wouldn’t clamp down. I added a post enlarger from Advance Auto and now it is perfect.

Excellent OEM replacement for a 2007 Ford Edge positive battery terminal. Removing the old terminal was very quick and easy with a Dremel. Took about a minute. I then used channel locking pliers to put on the new terminal and some electrical tape all around the crimped part. The while process took less than 10 min. Highly recommend.

This is the same as the factory battery terminal clamp on my 2017 F250. If battery acid gets on it, it will like be eaten away like the original one. It’s just tin coated copper. Crimping it on the cable is a bit of a challenge without a special crimp tool that is meant to do this. And working in the engine compartment does not make it any easier. I used a few different pliers and c-clamp to make a crimp secure and as close as possible to the factory one. It takes some time, but it’s doable. Soldering might be an option too. In the future if this needs to be replaced again, it will be an old school lead or solid clamp and add a bit the wire length to make easier too.
The key is to make sure battery does not leak and if it does replace it before it damages the terminals.

Saved me many hundreds of $ … just used the anchor bar with sliding wedges and nut on the OEM battery terminal clamp and all is good. Excellent excellent product
