Bob Johnson –
If you have miss matched IM and head, ie, 96-98 IM to 99-00 head, this won’t work. Common in auto to manual swaps.
You’ll need to get the IM gasket for the 99-00 IM and the IM gasket for the 96-98 IM.
Place the year gasket with the year part and sandwich it all together. It took a considerable amount of research to come to this solution for my IM leaks. I hope this helps somebody get their leak stopped.

Same exact thing happened 2 me as the others. The gasket was folded in half before shipping and it was broken in 2 pieces. For tge life of me I cant understand why they would fold a paper gasket in half when the box is waaaay bigger than the gasket without being folded. Now my car is going 2 be down another week waiting for a new one. This is definately not amazon’s normal quality.

OEM is the way to go

Might’ve been a good gasket, might have been bad. I’ll never know for certain. The gasket was ripped before I even opened the package. Already filed for a refund so I’ll update when that gets done. What a shame

Oem Honda gasket worked Great on my 98 civic.
Andy from WI –
Gasket was securely packaged, and in new condition.
It worked perfectly on a 1998 Honda Civic LX.
This gasket has the metal ring for the coolant line, something not present in the FelPro gasket.

I would love to write a review of how much better my car ran but whoever’s boxing these can’t seem to understand how fragile these are. This is a picture of the second gasket I’ve received with a tear. This will not seal like this and is now junk. You have to handle this item with extreme care its very brittle, the slightest pressure and it will crack. If the third one comes broken I will just go to a thermal gasket for another $25. Should have probably done that to start. Meanwhile, the car sits unable to be used..
