I have a 2009 Jeep Patriot and this part was exactly what I needed. I had a different type of aftermarket gas cap after the seal on my original went bad. Every few hundred miles, the ‘gascap’ warning would come on. The check engine light followed shortly. It usually went away, but I got sick of it right about the time the cap stopped clicking closed and wouldn’t stay tight. This one seems to click normally and the tether is the right length.
At the time of this review, I’ve only had it on for about 24 hours, both the check engine lights and the gascap warning have turned off. If it goes wonky, I’ll update.

Fit my 04 KJ but the lanyard was too short. Simply reused the old one. It doesnt seem to tighten down as tight as I remember my original cap tightening when it actually worked. Either way, the check engine light is staying off now(no evap leak).

We had an check engine light on our 2009 Jeep Patriot and couldn’t get a dealership to look at it until November. Checked and this was the matching part for our vehicle. The light went off after replacing the filler cap and driving about 100 miles. Chose the MOPAR part because the built on strap like our original filler cap (and, of course it is nice to have OEM parts). Just for this point alone it was worth the two extra dollars above the other aftermarket caps.

Fit my Jeep just fine, but had to give it 4 stars because it did not make my Gascap code go away. Other reviewers said it had fixed theirs. It was cheap enough so I gave it a try but no such luck.

This gas cap fit my 2004 dodge durango perfectly, we have had no issues. The one we had previously did not seem to fit right not sure it was even the factory one. This one is the correct size and it clicks in the right amount of times. No air is getting in nothing it leaking out. It did fix my check engine light for a little while but I need a new spark plug but I am just happy the gas cap is no longer the issue.

Great fit for the car. Sadly, it didn’t get rid of the check engine light like we had originally hoped, but we did get what was wrong fixed not long after. And who knows, maybe all of that stuff got rid of the light. But it fit perfectly and I’d definitely recommend to anybody who’d ask.

I had the infamous vapor leak warning light come up on my Town and Country. I thought I’d give a new gas cap a try as was recommended in a number of videos and it worked! I chose this over the less expensive options and I’m glad I did. It’s a quick replacement and a cheap fix.

Bought this for my 2006 PT Cruiser — supposedly a direct-fit replacement, but the strap is too short. So the cap works fine, but I can’t hang it like I could the original one. Better than a generic cap, though. The strap pulled out quite easily, so I’m able to use the cap without the too-short strap hanging off.
