The 16AWG is pretty small for this type of adapter.
You will get about 10amps safely from this cable so thats only 120watts.
Make sure you power draw stays below that if you buy this.
There are other brands that use thicker wire so you can run more power through it.

This product says that the cigarette lighter socket works with a cigarette lighter. It was very clear in the description that it does work with a cigarette lighter as well as other power points. I’ve struggled to find one that actually houses a cigarette lighter in this style. Was hopeful that this one would work as described unfortunately it does not. Even when being diligent on paying attention to the details you still don’t receive what your looking for sometimes.

I’ve used this to add an additional socket to my diy power station. The cable is thick with a high enough gauge for the average consumer device (this is mainly for my 40w fridge). The socket itself seems constructed well, and when a plug is inserted, feels solid with no wiggle or play. Recommended.

This product is installed and performing well. The one issue I ran into was the absence of the ring connectors on the battery terminal end of the wires. Since I happened to have some ring connectors in my shop it was a minor inconvenience.

.. this lighter adapter did not have the 8mm eyelet terminals as pictured. I had to buy additional product to make this item work.
