Cyclehead –
The gas cap seems to be fine, with a good rubber seal to fix my P0440 code. But they made the stud diameter too small, so the retaining lanyard won’t work! I tried swapping the whole plastic ring with my old cap, but the ring won’t slip as you turn the cap. So I had to add a zip tie. Frustrating.

I bought this for my parents because the gas cap on their truck was gone, and they were just using a plastic bag to plug it up. This is easy to use, but my parents did say that they need to put the connector on more tightly, saying that they’ve bought some in the past but that they always misplaced them and lost them because they forgot to put it back. Sounds kinda like a “them-problem”, but hopefully they’ll be able to connect this one properly so they don’t lose it again.
